Madison County Nature Trail

The Madison County Nature Trail is located on Green Mountain in Huntsville, Alabama.[1] It was established by the Madison County Commission in 1975 under the leadership of County Commission Chairman James Record who arranged for the land to be donated to Madison County.[2]

The park features a replica historic covered bridge, a walking trail 1.5 miles (2.4 km) in length, chapel, pavilion, picnic area,[3] and a handicapped accessible area with a Braille trail.[4] The park is free to the public and open from sunrise to sunset.

Fishing is allowed on Skye Lake for those under 16 and over 60 Monday through Friday while the weekend is reserved for nature lovers. The cost is $1.50 to fish.
