Maddison Keeney (born 23 May 1996) is a female diver from Australia. She competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland and the 2015 World Aquatics Championships.[1]

Personal

Keeney is studying physics at the University of Queensland in Brisbane.

Career

Keeney competed in the 1 m and 3 m springboard at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. She won the silver medal in the 1m springboard and a bronze medal in the 3m synchronized springboard with Anabelle Smith. At the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, Russia, she finished 7th in the 3m springboard, 4th in mixed synchronised 3 metre springboard, and 12th in the 1m springboard. She performed in the 2016 Rio olympics for synchronized diving with Annabelle Smith, and came 3rd place. The pair opened with a back dive pike, scoring a score of 48.00 to share fifth place with Germany. On the third dive, they scored 72.20, slipping them to sixth place, within striking distance from bronze. They moved up one spot in the standings to fifth on 228.09 in the penultimate round, before snatching bronze in their final dive.
