Lymari Nadal Torres[2][note 1] (born 11 February 1978[3]) is a Puerto Rican actress, film producer and scriptwriter.[1] She has performed different roles in several films including American Gangster and Battlestar Galactica: The Plan. In 2011, she also produced her own film, America, she was also its writer.

Life and career

Nadal Torres was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Daniel Nadal and Anaida Torres.[4] She graduated from high school at Academia Santa María. She received her first college degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. [1] In an interview, she said about herself that she was "Ponce-blooded."[1] In 2001, she moved to Los Angeles, California, and married actor and director Edward James Olmos in 2002.[5]

Nadal's latest film is América.[1] She is best known for her role as Frank Lucas's wife in the movie American Gangster.
