Lumigon is a Danish technology company based in Copenhagen that produces high-end smartphones running on Google Android operating systems. Lumigon is the first company in Denmark to design and develop its own smartphones and accessories.

Telenor Denmark was the first operator to introduce Lumigon into their product line. Telenor Denmark now sells Lumigon products nationwide in their Danish shops and online outlets, as well as through CBB and Bibob, who are also owned by Telenor.

History

Lumigon was founded in 2009 by Danish IT entrepreneur Lars Gravesen,.[1] Gravesen had a background in software startups DanTeam, Zyb and Excitor.

Lumigon's launched its first phone – the T1 – within the first year of the company’s existence. The T1 was equipped with Bang & Olufsen audio and a built-in universal remote control.[2] Lumigon followed up with the T2, which was launched in February 2010. The current model is the T3.

Products

Since the company’s foundation in 2009, has launched four smartphones: the T1, T2, T2 HD and T3. Lumigon also designs and develops its own accessories such as headsets, docking stations and chargers.[3]

T3

In June 2016 Lumigon launched world’s first smartphone with a Night Vision camera, a 2K camera that allows taking pictures and making videos in darkness.[4] The T3 is built from molybdenum 316 stainless steel and Corning® Gorilla® Glass on back and front and is available in selected colours as well as different gold versions. Powered by Helio X10 – 64-bit 2.2 GHz, it runs on AndroidTM 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with 128GB internal storage. The phone also features a BackTouch that enables scrolling content on the display, a fingerprint reader, Dual SIM slot, universal remote control, ActionKey and wireless charging.[5]

H2 Headset

The H2 headset was launched in November 2015. The headset has metal parts crafted from stainless steel. It’s available in different colours and in a 24-karat gold edition.[6]

T2 HD

In March 2014 Lumigon released the T2 HD. The phone is made with stainless steel, has a damage-resistant glass front screen and is dust- and water-resistant. Screen size is now up to 4.3", with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. The T2 HD has a 13-megapixels back camera with a flash and BSI sensor, and a 2.4-megapixels front camera with a front flash.[7] The T2 HD runs on Android 4.4. Unique Lumigon features and apps include Behaviour Control, ActionKey, Vault, universal remote control, Sunlight Mode, Glove Mode, QuickTouch, and Hand-wave.[8]

T2

The T2 was launched in February 2012. It had a new design and upgraded technical specifications. The T2 was built in stainless steel and had a Corning Gorilla Glass front screen. The phone was powered by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and ran on Android 4.0. Features included a 3.8" high-resolution screen, an 8-megapixels camera with a flash on the back, and a camera on the front for video calls. The T2 also had the Bang & Olufsen ICEpower sound chip.

T1

The first Lumigon smartphone was the T1, which was launched in February 2010.[9] Like all subsequent Lumigon phones, the T1 ran on the Google Android OS. It also had special Lumigon P-GUI software. Distinctive features included Bang & Olufsen's ICEpower technology for enhanced audio quality and built-in universal remote control, which enabled the recording of any command from another infrared remote control.
