Luke Anderson

Luke Anderson (born Laura Anderson, 1981) is a South African-born chef and trans man from Flintshire, North Wales. In 2012, Luke participated in the thirteenth series of Big Brother UK. He was one of two housemates called Luke in the house, the other being Luke Scrase, and so they were referred to as Luke A and Luke S to avoid confusion. In Week 7, he was nominated to face the public vote against Lauren Carre, and survived.[1] In Week 9, Luke faced the public vote for the third time in succession, against three other housemates, and survived for a third time. On Day 70, Luke left the house as the winner of Big Brother 13 much to his shock. Luke was the first Transman to win Big Brother. He is an ambassador for Trans rights .

In 2012 and 2013 Luke was voted number 10 in the Independent on Sunday pink list, the highest position held by a transgender man to date.[2]

In 2010 Luke won Flintshire Chef of the Year at the age of 29.

Luke is now Head Chef at Hickorys Smokehouse in Rhos on sea having joined the company in 2016.

Luke is married to Jamie-Lee Anderson (née Hassett).[3]
