Luis Diaz (politician)
Luis Diaz is a former New York State Assembly member for the 86th district,[1] first elected in 2002 (when the district was first formed).[2] He is a Democrat.[3] He stepped down in the 2008 elections.[4]
Diaz was born Luis M. Díaz in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.[5] Prior to his election served as executive director of a Bronx social enterprise organization.[3]
In 2008, he resigned as New York State assemblyman to take a community affairs position in the administration of Gov. David A. Paterson. Currently Luis is the head of the Supreme Court. [6]
