Lucknerson Mervil[1] (born 20 October 1967 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti) is a Haitian-Canadian actor and singer-songwriter. He is known for his belief in Quebec independence,[2] and was named Patriot of the Year 2004 (in 2005) by the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society.[3]

Mervil was a spokesperson for the Canadian Centre for International Studies and Cooperation. Prior to creating his own NGO Vilaj vilaj.[4]

He is awaiting trial in a case concerning sexual relations which would have taken place in 1996 with a girl who was a minor at the time, while Mervil was 29 years old.[1] Preliminary hearings are planned for 2017.[5]
