Lost Planet Airmen is a 1951 black-and-white American science fiction film from Republic Pictures, which is a feature version of their 1949 film serial King of the Rocket Men. The film stars Tristram Coffin and Mae Clark, and was directed by Fred C. Brannon and written by Royal K. Cole and William Lively.
Lost Planet Airmen tells of a scientist, a member of the group Science Associates, who uses a newly developed jet-powered rocket backpack (mounted on a leather jacket with an attached streamlined flying helmet) in order to thwart the threat of the mysterious Dr. Vulcan to destroy New York City with a ray device which causes earthquakes.[1]
