Loris Baz (born 1 February 1993) is a motorcycle racer from France, who races in MotoGP for the Avintia Racing team. He has previously competed in the Superbike World Championship, the FIM Superstock 1000 Championship, the British Superbike Championship and the European Superstock 600 Championship, where he was champion in 2008. Baz is currently the tallest MotoGP rider, at 191 centimetres (6 ft 3 in).

Career

Superbike World Championship (2012–14)

Kawasaki Racing confirmed Baz for the 2013 Superbike World Championship season.[1]

MotoGP (2015–)

On 4 October 2014, it was announced that Baz would move into MotoGP, with Forward Racing.[2] At Misano in September, Baz achieved his best result with 4th place in changeable conditions.[3] Baz finished his début season with 28 points, and was 17th in the final championship standings.

For the 2016 season, Baz is riding with the Avintia Racing team.[4]
