Looze (publisher)

Looze were book and newspaper printers, publishers, and sellers in Zierikzee, located at the Melkmart 2 (corner Schuithaven).[1]

The firm was started in the first half of the 19th century by P. Looze, who founded (1844), printed and published the Zierikzeesche Nieuwsbode,[2][3] to be succeeded by M.J. Looze.[1] In 1869 the print operation, including the Zierikzeesche Nieuwsbode merged into Ochtman, later known as Lakenman en Ochtman, recently shortened to LNO.[4]
