Cast

Production

It was announced on February 3, 2016 that Steven Soderbergh would exit his self-imposed retirement in order to direct a film with Channing Tatum and Matt Damon attached to star. Deadline.com reported the same day that Damon was not involved, but rather Michael Shannon.[2] FilmNation Entertainment brought the project to the Berlin Film Festival to sell distribution rights.[3] On May 11, Shannon had to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts, and Adam Driver and Seth MacFarlane entered negotiations to star.[4] On May 26, Driver and MacFarlane were confirmed to star, with Daniel Craig, Katherine Heigl and Riley Keough finalizing deals to join the cast.[5] That same month, it was announced NASCAR would be collaborating on the film.[6] In June 2016, Hilary Swank, Katherine Waterston and Jack Quaid were cast in the film.[7][8][9] On August 15, 2016, David Denman joined the cast.[10] On August 22, 2016, it was reported that Jim O'Heir had joined the cast.[11] On August 31, 2016, Sebastian Stan joined the cast.[12]

Filming

On August 24, 2016, Logan Lucky began filming. The film will be shot for 35 days.[13] In late August, Tatum was seen on set. Driver, wearing a prosthetic arm, Craig, and Keough were also spotted on set.[14]
