List of submissions to the 32nd Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film

The following 13 films, all from different countries, were submitted for the 32nd Academy Awards in the category Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The highlighted titles were the five nominated films, which came from Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands and West Germany. The Oscar went to Black Orpheus, a Portuguese-language drama, filmed in Brazil by a French director.[1] The film represented France.

The Netherlands, Pakistan and two Chinese-speaking British colonies- Hong Kong and Singapore- submitted films for the first time.
