1633 Hubert Le Sueur The earliest English equestrian statue. Originally commissioned in 1630 by Charles I's Lord Treasurer, Sir Richard Weston, for his house Mortlake Park in Roehampton. Erected on the site of the Charing Cross in 1674–5, when the pedestal was carved by Joshua Marshall. [17]
