List of rhythm guitarists

The following is a list of significant rhythm guitarists, arranged in ascending alphabetical order of last name. Rhythm guitarists perform a combination of two functions: they provide all or part of the rhythmic pulse in conjunction with other rhythm section instruments (bass and drums); and they provide all or part of the harmony, i.e. the chords.
