The Billboard Adult Contemporary chart ranks the best-performing singles in that category in the United States. The first number-one song of the year was by Taylor Swift with "You Belong with Me", a position it held for five non-consecutive weeks.^{[1][2][3][4][5]} On the Adult Contemporary Songs 2010 year-end list, "You Belong with Me" finished in eighth place.^[6] Michael Bublé's "Haven't Met You Yet" peaked at number one for three non-consecutive weeks,^[7][8][9] and finished in third place on the 2010 year-end list.^[6] Colbie Caillat topped the chart for five non-consecutive weeks with "Fallin' for You",^{[10][11][12][13][14]} and ranked at number six on the year-end list.^[6] "Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum topped the chart for 15 non-consecutive weeks,^[15][16] and ranked as the number one Adult Contemporary song on the year-end list.^[6] "Need You Now" became Lady Antebellum's first number one song on the Adult Contemporary chart.^[17] Train's "Hey, Soul Sister" peaked at number one for 19 non-consecutive weeks,^[18][19] and finished in second place on the year-end list.^[6] The Script topped the chart for two non-consecutive weeks with "Breakeven",^[20][21] and the song finished in ninth place on the year-end list.^[6] "Breakeven" became The Script's first number one song on the Adult Contemporary chart.^[22] Swift achieved her second number one song of the year on the chart with "Mine"^[23] which finished at number 23 on the year-end list.^[24] Mariah Carey topped the chart with "Oh Santa!" for the last two weeks of 2010.^[25][26] Despite being released in 2010, "Oh Santa!" finished at number 42 on the 2011 Adult Contemporary Songs year-end list.^[27]
