List of environmental film festivals

Many environmental film festivals present complete programs of films dedicated to environmental subjects on a regular basis, typically annually. Others are committed to presenting environmental films within their subprograms. The festivals listed below solicit and present films about nature, ecology, conservation, wildlife, pollution, habitat loss, climate change and related topics. Some of the festivals listed here are also members of the Green Film Network. This list is not exhaustive.

The motto of the festival is to spread awareness towards wildlife and nature conservation through various visual media. Besides, workshops, orientation programmes, discussions, WildWalk jungle camps and several such activities are also organised under the banner of TIFF throughout the year.

The festival invites entries under various competitive categories every year. The categories include Best Documentary, Best Short Documentary, Best Short Film, Best Promotional Film on Conservation, Best Wild Click, Best Wild Art, Best Investigative / Research Article, Best Wild Travelogue, Best Poem with Conservation Message, and Best Slogan. The winners are felicitated in an annual function called as ‘TIFFest’. Legendary Bollywood actress Waheeda Rehman is the Advisor of TIFF.[25]
