The following is a list of awards and nominations received by American actor Joaquin Phoenix. For his work as an artist, he received nominations for three Academy Awards, three British Academy Film Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, three Critics Choice Awards, and has won a Golden Globe Award, a Independent Spirit Award, a Grammy Award and awards from the Venice Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Critics Association and the National Board of Review. He and his late brother River Phoenix hold the distinction of being the first and only brothers to get nominated for acting Academy Awards.[1]
