  3. Butterfield resigned as Archdeacon of the East Riding on 26 May in order to be collated as Archdeacon for Generous Giving and Stewardship (remaining in York diocese) on 23 June 2014.[31]

  5. Allain Chapman was collated Archdeacon of Boston on 15 November 2013.[110]
  6. Chaffey has been Principal Church of England Chaplain and Chaplain-in-Chief since July 2014 and the RAF website refers to him with the archidiaconal style of Venerable.[130]
  7. Kelham has taken on the full archidiaconal role but is called "acting" archdeacon solely because she is older than the Church's mandatory retirement age.[175]
  8. Ipswich archdeaconry has been deliberately left vacant pending a pastoral scheme to dissolve the archdeaconry and divide its territory between Sudbury and Suffolk archdeaconries; the area has been under the care of the remaining two archdeacons since 2005.[189]
