List of Kamen Rider OOO characters

This is a list of characters of the 2010-2011 Japanese tokusatsu series Kamen Rider OOO.

Eiji Hino

Eiji Hino (火野 映司 Hino Eiji) is a young man desire to helps others while traveling. When he falls asleep during his part-time job at the museum, Eiji unwittingly becomes entangled in the chain of events that occurred after the Greeed were released and gains the ability to become Kamen Rider OOO (仮面ライダーオーズ Kamen Raidā Ōzu) to fight them.

Eiji Hino is portrayed by Shu Watanabe (渡部 秀 Watanabe Shū).

Ankh

Ankh (アンク Anku) is the bird-type Greeed, a dishonest wildcard who sees people for their flaws and is at odds with the other Greeed. Ankh also believes that he has the right to get whatever he wants and detests having to give something away. Eight centuries ago, Ankh conspired with the original OOO and battle the rest of the Greeed before being betrayed by OOO when all the other Greeed were defeated. He was impaled by OOO's Tora Claws, having his Core Medals stolen. When the original OOO attempted to absorb all the Medals' power, it resulted in the Greeed being sealed away, including Ankh. However, Ankh's right forearm, holding the Core Medal containing his consciousness, was severed in the process and sealed with the other Greeed while his mindless body, mummified and dormant, ended up in Europe. As a result, he lost most of his powers. When the Greeed were unsealed, Ankh was only able to manifest back into existence as his right forearm and stole some of the other Greeed's Core Medals to have them handicapped. However, he loses one of his two remaining Taka Medals when Eiji takes it by accident. Ankh originally intends to force Eiji to return his Medal, only to be saved by Eiji from the Mantis Yummy sent after him. In a dire need to see that both of them survive the Yummy attack, and intending to make Eiji a pawn in his scheme (as he can not create a Yummy in his condition), Ankh saves the human by lending him the OOO Driver and some of the Core Medals he has, enabling Eiji to transform into Kamen Rider OOO.

After the Yummy is destroyed, Ankh takes the body of the half-dead detective Shingo Izumi as a temporary host to move around, causing the human's hair to develop a peculiar style with a dull blonde color. Ankh can remove himself from Shingo's body on occasion, though he must reattach himself within ten minutes to keep Shingo alive. Ankh eventually finds himself compromising his original plan (having underestimated Eiji's strength of will), reluctantly cooperating with Eiji to save human lives on the condition that Eiji continues gathering Cell Medals as Kamen Rider OOO. Though Eiji plays him at times and is constantly at odds with him, Ankh still prefers working with Eiji over his fellow Greeed, as the human is honest about his motives. Since possessing a human body, Ankh has been able to experience real emotions and the full effect of the five senses, something a Greeed is normally not capable of even when completed. As a result, Ankh grows to desire the life that humans were blessed with that Greeed can never have. The most prominent example of this effect is his ability to taste food, resulting in him developing a strong liking for popsicles. Typical of birds, Ankh also shows a preference for high places, frequently shown on trees, resting somewhere high in his quarters shared with Eiji, and jumping out of the window instead of going out through the door. Ankh avoids eating poultry due to his connection to birds. Ankh is sometimes seen carrying an iPad or an iPhone 4 (which Shingo had bought) to gather information on the current era as well as to keep track of the ownership of the Core Medals. He also receives a gift from Hina in the form of the O Medal Holder to place his Core Medals in. Overtime, he begins to undergo a change in personality, ultimately finding himself no longer able to bring himself to harm Hina and Eiji without substantial reasons.

Even though he managed to regain some of his Core Medals, Ankh is unable to regenerate any other parts of his body. The mystery behind both that and why Ankh cannot produce Yummy is revealed when the rest of his body appears. Ankh eventually reveals to Eiji, Hina, and Date the mysteries behind OOO and the Greeed and his resulting condition from that fight. Furthermore, due to his interaction with Ankh (Lost), Ankh's hold over Shingo wavers as the man's sufficient recovery over time would eventually prevent the Greeed from using his body. Eventually, Ankh is absorbed by his other self, yet their fusion is incomplete as he attempts to defy Ankh (Lost) and passed a Taka Medal to Hina before being absorbed. After Kamen Rider OOO manages to destroy Ankh (Lost) along with a full set of Ankh's Medals, the original Ankh managed to use Ankh (Lost)'s remains to reform his body and model his human form after Shingo's possessed state. However, Ankh's weakened state is unable to maintain a complete body, so he mortally wounds Shingo again and reduced himself to his original disembodied arm to take control of the detective's body once more. Having regained his full powers as a Greeed and taking back his Taka Medal from Eiji, Ankh offers to help Maki in gaining Eiji's purple Core Medals in return for becoming the vessel for all the other Core Medals. Reviving Uva, Ankh then joins forces with the other Greeed and rallies them against Eiji. However, counting on Eiji's new-found ability to destroy Core Medals, Ankh formulates a reckless plan to have OOO eliminate the other completed Greeed so he can use their Core Medals to fully fuse Shingo's body with his mind, thus gaining true conscious life.

Ankh's faith in this plan is so strong, he is willing to give the other Greeed all their Core Medals back unconditionally, a result of being spoiled by his experiences with human senses, which in turn fueled his growing disgust with his fellow Greeed. When he is forced into fighting the Eiji Greeed, Ankh transforms into his Greeed form, referred to as Ankh (Greeed) (アンク(グリード態) Anku (Gurīdo-tai)). However, due to the time he had with Eiji and his newfound capacity for feeling deeper emotions, Ankh is unable to kill him and turns on Maki, eventually resulting in the Taka Medal containing Ankh's consciousness being cracked (placing his "life" in jeopardy) and most of the Core Medals he had been taken by Maki. But though he knows that he would die, Ankh felt at peace about his eventual fate and peculiarly, felt satisfaction for the first time, something a Greeed is inherently incapable of feeling. In the final battle, Ankh joins Eiji in fighting Doctor Maki as his Greeed Form while Eiji fights as Putotyra Combo. When the Kyouryu Greeed manages to negate Putotyra Combo, Ankh gives Eiji his last three Core Medals to prevent him from going rampage with his purple Core powers, disappearing and allowing Eiji to assume Tajadol Combo. His spirit fights alongside Eiji against the Kyouryu Greeed as they defeat Doctor Maki and destroy all of the other Core Medals. As Eiji falls back to earth, Ankh appears to him as his disembodied arm. Thanking Eiji for him and the others enabling an artificial being like him "to live", and to die a human's death, Ankh says his farewells before disappearing into half of the broken Taka Medal that once held his consciousness, while the other half appears to Hina in a brief manifestation of his Shingo-like body. As Eiji leaves on his journeys around the world, he keeps both halves of the broken Core Medal with him with the hope to somehow revive Ankh. In the events of Mega Max, Eiji learns that he somehow found a way as Ankh arrives from the future to help him with Kamen Rider Poseidon.

The name "Ankh" comes from the Hindi word for "eye" (आँख ā̃ṅkh), as in a hawk's eye. His name was originally planned to be "Ash" (アッシュ Asshu) from the Japanese word assuru (圧する?, "to oppress" or "to dominate") .[1]

Ankh is both voiced and portrayed by Ryosuke Miura (三浦 涼介 Miura Ryōsuke).[2]

Hina Izumi

Hina Izumi (泉 比奈 Izumi Hina) is Shingo's sister, who for some reason has superhuman strength, which she is a bit embarrassed about. She began working at the Cous Coussier restaurant as the Greeed awaken, worried for her brother's well being when she eventually learns of the incident he was in. To prevent her from worrying, Eiji sends her a text message using Shingo's cell phone stating Shingo is on an undercover mission and won't be home for a long time. Eiji later tells her the truth, while promising to save her brother. Eventually, realizing his reason of looking after Ankh, Hina convinces Eiji to work at the Cous Coussier so she can care for her brother's body. She often uses her super strength to keep Ankh in line if he begins to treat her brother's body poorly or when he does something she does not agree with. Ankh does not like her and the two often argue, with only Hina's bizarre strength allowing her to win arguments. Hina eventually comes to realize she has been relying on Eiji's need to help to an unhealthy degree, and is taking steps to ensure Eiji does not blindly sacrifice himself for other people's sakes. After much contemplation, Hina also realizes she has come to care for Ankh, and wants both Ankh and Eiji, as well as her brother, to make it out of the Medal conflict alive. During the events of Super Hero Taisen, after Eiji was seemingly killed, Hina joined forces with Daiki Kaito, and the Gokaigers' Joe Gibken and Don Dogoier to solve the reason while Tsukasa Kadoya and Captain Marvelous are attacking each other.

Hina Izumi is portrayed by Riho Takada (高田 里穂 Takada Riho).

Shingo Izumi

Shingo Izumi (泉 信吾 Izumi Shingo) is Hina's older brother, a police detective who is mortally wounded during the attack by the Mantis Yummy. His half dead body is then reanimated by Ankh and used as the Greeed's temporary vessel. This keeps Shingo barely alive, allowing Ankh to move about unnoticed while feeding on as many Cell Medals as possible in order to regain his complete form. Though he originally needs Ankh to keep him alive, and is able to experience everything the Greeed does through him, Shingo manages to sufficiently recover over time and is fully conscious by the time Ankh is absorbed by his other half. Though a completely healed Shingo intends to help Eiji, he is forced into becoming Ankh's host again after Ankh revives. After the end of the Greeed conflict, he resumes his work as a police detective.

Shingo Izumi is portrayed by Ryosuke Miura, who also portrays Ankh.

Kougami Foundation

The Kougami Foundation (鴻上ファウンデーション Kōgami Faundēshon) is a mysterious organization that has been researching the Greeed and the civilization that created them ever since they acquired the sarcophagus holding them and the Medals at their Kougami Art Museum (鴻上美術館 Kōgami Bijutsukan). As a result of their research from the artifacts they gathered and placed in the basement level of the main building, labeled as the King's Room, they developed many Cell Medal-powered items. When the Greeed finally awaken and they realize that Kamen Rider OOO has become active, they begin to assist the Kamen Rider in his fight against the Greeed and Yummy.

Kousei Kougami

Kousei Kougami (鴻上 光生 Kōgami Kōsei) is the eccentric president of the Kougami Foundation. Well versed in the history of OOO and the Core Medals, he has anticipated the arrival of the Greeed and has amassed several Cell Medals and artifacts relating to the Greeed and OOO. He loves baking cakes, commonly birthday cakes, and has built his office over a bakery. He always has a record player in his office, usually playing "Happy Birthday", believing that the birth of all things, good or bad, is a thing of beauty. Any items he has sent to Kamen Rider OOO typically fit this belief, normally referred to as 'presents' and wrapped up as such. Kougami is easily excited and becomes incredibly enthusiastic when it comes to the OOO/Greeed conflict and the birth of new developments, shouting an emotional "splendid!" (素晴らしい! subarashii!) at things that please him. He also has a habit of shouting "happy birthday!" whenever something new happens. Kougami believes that desires are the purest and most powerful energy source in existence, playing a major role in the evolution of life on Earth. This belief is to the extent of encouraging all around him to succumb to their own desires and do whatever they want as long as it does not interfere with his own desires. He sees Kamen Rider OOO, one bound for godhood, to be the means to ensure an unlimited supply of energy. To that end, Kougami manages to outwit Ankh into having him and Eiji work for him with a 60% Medal payment for the use his company's gadgets and equipment in order to achieve his lifelong work. Eventually, he has Kiyoto Maki develop a Kamen Rider with the ability to use and gather Cell Medals: Kamen Rider Birth. He eventually figures out that Maki is secretly working with the Greeed Kazari and threatens to fire him, causing Maki to destroy his lab and take everything he could, including the purple Core Medals. Kougami wishes to have the purple Core Medals destroyed as soon as possible, as what they represent goes directly against the goals he is trying to accomplish. Eventually, it is revealed that he is the one who awakened Ankh (Lost) by stealing one of his Core Medals.

He is revealed to be a descendent of the king who became the first Kamen Rider OOO, during Kamen Rider OOO Wonderful: The Shogun and the 21 Core Medals.

In Movie War Mega Max, it is revealed that Kougami is researching on creating new Core Medals that run on desire power alone before he gave the Poseidon Driver to Michal 40 years later.

Kousei Kougami is portrayed by Takashi Ukaji (宇梶 剛士 Ukaji Takashi).

Erika Satonaka

Erika Satonaka (里中 エリカ Satonaka Erika) is Kousei Kougami's personal secretary, often procuring cakes for him and seeing things from a business point of view. She also goes out of the office to run errands as instructed by Kougami, able to hold her own in a fight against a Yummy. Despite being Kougami's usual cake taster, Satonaka actually prefers spicy foods. Since Goto became the new Kamen Rider Birth, Satonaka becomes his support, even though she is actually his superior in the Kougami Foundation, carrying both her own Birth Buster to provide backup and a suitcase holding Cell Medals, loaded spare Bullet Pods, and Candroids. Much to Goto's chagrin, Satonaka is often late in arriving to the scene of a Yummy attack because of her obsession with her appearance, which leaves him at a disadvantage when he runs out of ammo for the Birth Buster.

Erika Satonaka is portrayed by Mayuko Arisue (有末 麻祐子 Arisue Mayuko).

Shintaro Goto

Main article: Kamen Rider Birth

Shintaro Goto (後藤 慎太郎 Gotō Shintarō) is a former police officer who works for the Kougami Foundation to keep the world safe from the Greeed and eventually becomes Eiji's friend. He eventually succeeds his mentor Date, becoming the second user of the Kamen Rider Birth (仮面ライダーバース Kamen Raidā Bāsu) system.

Shintaro Goto is portrayed by Asaya Kimijima (君嶋 麻耶 Kimijima Asaya).

Akira Date

Main article: Kamen Rider Birth

Akira Date (伊達 明 Date Akira) is a young man who traveled the world before returning to Japan and being hired to become the first user of the Kamen Rider Birth system. He prefers getting his job done perfectly, rather than enjoying what he does.[3] Eventually, Date leaves Japan to undergo a life-saving surgery, returning some time later and becoming the user of the Kamen Rider Birth Prototype (仮面ライダーバース・プロトタイプ Kamen Raidā Bāsu Purototaipu).

Akira Date is portrayed by Hiroaki Iwanaga (岩永 洋昭 Iwanaga Hiroaki).[3]

Kiyoto Maki

Kiyoto Maki (真木 清人 Maki Kiyoto) is a scientist, one of the Kougami Foundation's finest, having devised the Medal System and placed in charge of the Kougami Biotech Laboratory (鴻上生体研究所 Kōgami Seitai Kenkyūjo). He is at odds with Kougami in just about everything, from the ideology and principles they uphold (Kougami's obsession with beginnings versus Maki's for endings), to concrete matters regarding the Medals, like choosing the container for all the Core Medals and who should be the one to use the Birth system. He initially decides not to go against Kougami's wishes, as Kougami is the one financing all his research and, unbeknownst to Kougami, his schemes. In his youth, he was obsessively attached to his older sister and guardian Hitomi Maki (真木 仁美 Maki Hitomi), who, despite his affections, was cruel to him and disgusted with him, telling him at their parents' funeral that the true value of something was only evident when it has ended. This statement would come to define Maki's worldview. The day before her wedding, Hitomi gave Maki a doll which he named "Kiyo-chan" (キヨちゃん) to view as a surrogate for her, since he had extreme difficulty talking to anyone but her. That night, driven mad by her intent to abandon him once married, Maki killed Hitomi by causing a fire in her bedroom, burning Kiyo-chan's hair off in the process. Following this, he suppressed almost all memory of both the incident and negative impressions of Hitomi, convincing himself that the fire was an accident and that Hitomi had been a kind and loving sister. Since then, Maki tends to look at his prized doll Kiyo-chan whenever he speaks to someone, making it seem like he is instead conversing with the doll. This tendency is so strong that Maki often becomes unable to speak properly and loses his normally deadpan composure when Kiyo-chan falls from his shoulder. During the middle part of the series, his obsession with cleanliness and Kiyo-chan's occasional acts of supposed supernatural nature becomes a running gag, particularly during his interactions with Akira Date. Since Maki absorbed the purple Medals, Kiyo-chan has been shown in increasingly jarring poses and actions, even once channeling the same Greeed powers as Maki himself, implying some level of sentience.

Though he develops the Kamen Rider Birth System for humans to use Medals like Kamen Rider OOO, Maki soon became more intent on studying the Greeed. Upon being discovered in turn by Kazari, the two set up a partnership to discover if one Greeed could be the holder of all the Core Medals. While Kazari wishes to remain in control of himself during this fusion, Maki wants his partner to become a rampaging Mega Greeed and bring the world to an end. After seeing a restaurant pamphlet with her picture on it, Maki develops an obsession with Chiyoko Shiraishi due to her resemblance to Hitomi. At around this time, Kougami threatens Maki to end his partnership with Kazari, and Maki's strained relationship with the Greeed leads to the creation of the Orca-Panda Yummy from the man's unfulfilled desire for maternal affection. Maki himself claims this is not indicative of his full motives, as affection is a mere desire, while his goal to end the world is instead a sacred mission, something a mere Greeed like Kazari, driven by desire, cannot understand. Attempting to deal with his own Yummy using Candroids, Maki is wounded and ends up being taken care of by Chiyoko. Maki then takes Chiyoko back to his childhood home, where he reveals to her his story of what had happened. However, being faced with Chiyoko's genuinely kind demeanor causes his mental blocks of his sister's true nature and the origin of the fire to shatter. The result is an abrupt cessation in his desire for affection and a reaffirmation of his belief that the world should be ended while there is still some good left in it. Maki remotely calls hundreds of Candroids to himself with many of the flying ones carrying the painting in his office, activated his lab's self-destruct system to destroy all his research data, and leaves the Kougami Foundation, joining Kazari and Ankh (Lost) as a new man in his quest for the world's destruction. He soon absorbs five of the purple Core Medals, stolen from the Foundation, succeeding in becoming a Greeed himself known as the Kyouryu Greeed (恐竜グリード Kyōryū Gurīdo).[4] However, Maki now needs the five Core Medals Eiji has to complete his transformation so when one of the Greeed goes berserk and destroys the world upon becoming complete, he can destroy it and become the last living being on Earth, indulging in the resulting emptiness. After making a deal with Ankh, willing to follow his plan if it means completing his own, Maki steals the Core Medals in Kazari's body after he is heavily injured in a fight with Kamen Rider OOO and leaves him to die. He then gives the pilfered Medals to Ankh, only to be disappointed when Ankh expresses more ambition than just the desire to be complete when he takes only Kazari's Medals. This forces Maki to take matters into his own hands by mortally wounding Gamel and then speeding up Eiji's Greeedification, to convince Eiji to relinquish the purple Core Medals, before deciding to use Uva in his plan instead by turning him into the Medal Vessel. Leaving Kiyo-chan to Chiyoko's care as he no longer needs the doll to speak normally, Maki proceeds to engage Kamen Rider OOO and Ankh in the final battle. In the end, after being mortally wounded by Kamen Rider OOO Tajadol Combo with a purple Core Medal-powered Giga Scan, Maki's body becomes a black hole-like collapse and sucks in most of the Core Medals along with himself as he delights in his own death.

During the events of Kamen Rider OOO: Nobunaga's Desire, Maki forcefully provides Nobunaga with the three black Core Medals to have him assume his Armored Warrior Inhumanoid's complete form. Then in the events of Kamen Rider OOO Wonderful: The Shogun and the 21 Core Medals, Maki gives the Greeed one of his Core Medals to help Eiji in his fight against Gara, stating that though both he and the alchemist embrace destruction, their ideals of what is to occur after it are extreme opposites.

Kiyoto Maki is portrayed by Yuu Kamio (神尾 佑 Kamio Yū).[5] As a child, Maki is portrayed by Hayato Watanabe (渡辺 隼斗 Watanabe Hayato).

Greeed

The Greeed (グリード Gurīdo) are coin-based homunculi created from the fifty Core Medals 800 years ago by humans who attempted to create life under the will of the King, the First Kamen Rider OOO, as part of his plan to achieve godhood. Though originally mindless, the five Greeed gained wills of their own after one Medal in each of the five sets was destroyed. They are beings without true life that crave endlessly, cursed with a void in them that can never be filled. They lack proper senses, resulting in bleak sensory input (e.g., colors are washed out, taste is nonexistent, sounds are muffled and distorted), as well as the inability to feel deeper emotions such as love. As such, the four other Greeed became bent on filling the void left in them by consuming everything obsessively in an attempt to experience what humans normally take for granted. However, they and part of Ankh were sealed by the King when the Core Medals consumed him and transformed him into a stone coffin.

When the seal is removed, Ankh (unable to recreate his body completely) manages to steal some of his fellow Greeed's Core Medals so they would be handicapped as well while claiming that the other Core Medals were lost to them during their imprisonment. As a result, the four Greeed use their Yummy to track down Ankh and regain their stolen Core Medals while using them to gather as many Cell Medals as needed to maintain their physical forms. After realizing how much humanity changed over the past 800 years, the Greeed mimic human forms to blend into society. Each Greeed has three sets of Core Medals and are able to maintain their powers so long as they do not lose them all. Once they do, the armored portion of their forms that draws power from that Core Medal disappears while they "bleed" Cell Medals. If they only have one Core Medal left in their bodies, then they are forcibly reverted to human form and suffer terrible pain. The exceptions to that rule are Ankh, who became a special case since the battle centuries ago, and Uva, who was able to recreate his body from a single Core Medal with just his head and forearms being armored.[6]

If a Greeed's body gains more Core Medals without its own nine Core Medals to stabilize the body, its body will begin to destabilize from the power as the other Core Medals act as if they are its own. One end result of this is a Mega Greeed (巨大グリード Kyodai Gurīdo), an extremely powerful chimera-based monster. But when all five Core Medal types are used, a Greeed turns into a Medal Vessel (メダルの器 Medaru no Utsuwa), a giant container that converts all nearby matter into Cell Medals. Because both types are extremely dangerous, Maki uses the purple Core Medals to become a Greeed himself while having other Greeed to repeat their consumption once completely revived in order achieve his desire for the world to end. A Greeed's consciousness is contained in one of its corresponding head-type Core Medals. Destruction of this Medal will permanently destroy the Greeed. If a Greeed's body is destroyed but the Medal containing its consciousness remains, the Greeed is able to act autonomously and possess human bodies, as was the case with Uva.

The name "Greeed" comes from the English word "greed", as their Medals are powered by human desire, but in the fashion of OOO, there are three E's in their name instead of two. Other than Ankh, the Greeed are named after certain words in Japanese that relate to desire and the method by which their Yummy are created.[1]

Kazari

Kazari (カザリ) is the feline Greeed, an arrogant schemer who is able to move at fast speeds and create mini cyclones, able to use his dreadlocks as tendrils while in his complete form. Having lost the Tora Medal to Ankh, Kazari assumes the form of a silver-haired young man in a yellow checkered blazer to blend in with society. However, of the five Greeed, it would appear he had the least missing Medals when the Greeed were released, seemingly only missing his Tora Medal and the Lion Medal. His cat-based Yummy are parasitic in nature, possessing the human and forcing them to partake in their desire even at the risk of their lives until they can finally reach their complete form and consume the host. After realizing that there are others involved in finding the Core Medals besides them and Kamen Rider OOO, Kazari leaves the other Greeed to learn more of the third party. As a result, Kazari meets Kiyoto Maki and sets up a deal with him in hopes of finding his missing Core Medals, diverting from the Greeed's goal of consumption to one of evolution. This new ideology led to Kazari tricking Gamel into absorbing most of Mezool's Core Medals along with some of Uva's in order to see what would occur from a Greeed acquiring more than nine Core Medals. After the experiment, Kazari absorbed three of Mezool's Core Medals and two of Gamel's to undergo a controlled evolution, augmenting his powers with water- and gravity-based powers while able to create stronger hybrid Yummy with the attributes of those created by Mezool and Gamel. Using his new powers, Kazari manages to get all but one of his Core Medals back to reach his complete form before losing his Lion and Cheetah Medals to Eiji.

He eventually recruits Ankh (Lost) to his side while convincing Maki to sever his ties to the Kougami Foundation. This intention changes somewhat after deducting that Uva is trying to revive their fallen brethren, and he decided to assist Uva by faking that he lost Mezool's and Gamel's Core Medals to Uva. After Uva revives Gamel and Mezool, Kazari talks the two into joining his side and help him in destroying Uva. When Ankh joins forces with the Greeed with a revived Uva, he was notably upset that his plans are falling apart and that he is no longer the second-in-command of the group, to the point where he picked a fight with Ankh to blow off steam. Kazari is forced to play along until he manages to regain his Core Medals from Kamen Rider OOO by tricking Gamel into being a distraction and use his full power to take the other Greeed's Core Medals while heavily damaging Kamen Rider Birth. After Kamen Rider OOO Putotyra Combo damages one of his three Lion Medals, which happens to hold his consciousness, a wounded Kazari limps away before being found by Maki who assumes his Greeed form and rips out his remaining intact Core Medals. Kazari is then left to die, lamenting of never achieving his desire to have everything, as he breaks down into Cell Medals and his unstable Lion Medal shatters with only eight of his Core Medals were left in existence before they are sucked into the black hole that emerged from the Kyouryu Greeed's body.

The name "Kazari" comes from the Japanese word kazaru (飾る?, "to decorate") ,[1] as his Yummy's original method was engulfing the victim as the desires are fulfilled.

Kazari is voiced and portrayed by Taito Hashimoto (橋本 汰斗 Hashimoto Taito).[7][8]

Uva

Uva (ウヴァ) is the insect Greeed, the most hot-headed of his kind, able to jump long distances and discharge lightning from the claws on his right arm and the horns on his head. Having lost more Medals than some of the other Greeed, Uva is the first to track down Ankh to regain his Batta and Kamakiri Medals from him. He assumes the form of a young man who wears a green leather jacket in order to blend in with society. His insect-based Yummy pull themselves out of the bodies of certain humans, then seek out and physically consume the object of their progenitor's desire before molting into their complete forms. However, starting with his Swallowtail Yummy, this has changed to carrying out the desire of their host instead, though taken to an extreme fashion, and Uva typically remains in contact with the host to some degree. Uva has been the only Greeed who bothered creating the weaker Waste Yummy (屑ヤミー Kuzu Yamī). In the aftermath of Kazari's scheme with Mezool and Gamel undone by their own Core Medals, Uva decides to act on his own so he can find his own form of evolution through the Core Medals while creating the Waste Yummy to do his bidding. However, though he manages to take some of Gamel's and Mezool's Core Medals after the destruction of the Mega Greeed, Uva has not absorbed them into his body like Kazari. Instead, he has started seeding people with his Waste Yummy, producing a massive amount of Cell Medals for him to absorb to drastically increase his power while attempting to resurrect the two fallen Greeed. Though Uva succeeds reviving Gamel and Mezool, they turn on him as they, Kazari, and Ankh (Lost) destroy Uva's body. However, Uva's sole Kuwagata Medal manages to latch onto a man named Kusada, using him as a human host before Ankh finds him and uses his Yummy to help Uva recreate his body. Supporting Ankh in his fight with Kazari, Uva manages to regain the Core Medals Kazari took from him and later gets all but one of his Batta Medals back prior to Maki giving it to him. Assuming his complete form, Uva proceeds to overpower the Kamen Riders. When Kamen Rider OOO returns, using the King's Medals to fight as Tatoba Combo, Uva is ultimately mortally wounded in the fight, but Maki intervenes by throwing the Core Medals into him. He initially thanks the doctor for saving him, but eventually runs away due to Maki keep throwing extra Core Medals into him, causing him to start to destabilize. Though he attempted to fight the extra Core Medals, Uva is forcefully transformed into the Medal Vessel Chaos Form (メダルの器 暴走形態 Medaru no Utsuwa Bōsō Keitai), turning into the vessel of desire by converting all consumed matter into Cell Medals while creating Waste Yummy as a side effect. The Medal Vessel is eventually destroyed as Uva's Core Medals are all sucked into the black hole that emerged from the Kyouryu Greeed's body.

The name "Uva" comes from the Japanese word ubau (奪う?, "to snatch away") ,[1] as Uva's Yummy steal the source of desire from their surroundings, making themselves stronger.

Uva is voiced and portrayed by Yūsuke Yamada (山田 悠介 Yamada Yūsuke).[7] In the music video for "Anything Goes!", Uva makes a cameo as he fights Kamen Rider OOO.[9]

Gamel

Gamel (ガメル Gameru) is the heavy animal Greeed, physically the strongest of the four, yet has the mentality of a dimwitted spoiled child that makes him unable to work well with others normally save Mezool, whom he has an attachment to. Other than his brute strength and gauntlet armored fists, Gamel also can form a long trunk from his face to use as a weapon and gravity manipulating abilities. But in his full form, Gamel can turn anything he touches into Cell Medals. He is incomplete due to his Core Medals missing, only having five left by the time he was awakened. His human form is a young man who wears a grey mesh shirt over a black undershirt. In human form, he is often seen eating snacks although like any other Greeed, has no sense of taste and would even eat the inedible. Unlike the other Greeed, Gamel uses his body to create his large animal-based Yummy by inserting a Cell Medal into his own forehead upon observing a particular behavior he wants to mimic, thus satiating his own desires with the created Yummy being composed of a single Cell Medal. Because of his easily duped nature, Gamel was used as the subject of an experiment by Kazari, who gave him most of Mezool's Core Medals along with several of Uva's. The resulting 14 Core Medals seemingly restored his full form, but Gamel suffered from energy overload as a result of not having nine Cores of his own to maintain the power before Mezool absorbed him. After Mezool was destroyed, Gamel's Core Medals are divided among the surviving Greeed, with Ankh claiming one Gorilla Medal. Uva later manages to revive Gamel, assuming that he was taking a long nap, but he follows Mezool on siding with Kazari and Ankh (Lost). Later, after Ankh gives him back his Core Medals to assume his complete form, Gamel is shocked to discover that Mezool no longer wants him around, only managing to find her after she had been fatally wounded in a fight with Kamen Rider OOO. Knocking the Kamen Riders away, Gamel spirits one of Mezool's remaining Unagi Medals in a futile attempt to recreate her using humans to rebuilt her body. However, two of Gamel's Core Medals are heavily damaged by Maki, eventually manifesting after Gamel takes a point blank range double Cell Burst from Kamen Rider Birth's and Birth Proto Type's Breast Cannons. He breaks down soon after, with only seven of his Core Medals were left in existence before they are sucked into the black hole that emerged from the Kyouryu Greeed's body.

The name "Gamel" comes from the Japanese word gameru (がめる?, "to pilfer") ,[1] as Gamel uses others' desires to create Yummy from his own body.

Gamel is voiced and portrayed by Hiroyuki Matsumoto (松本 博之 Matsumoto Hiroyuki).[7][10]

Mezool

Mezool (メズール Mezūru) is the aquatic animal Greeed, the only female of the group with the ability to generate torrents of water from her hand and possessing great agility, able to convert her body into a liquid at her full power. Though incomplete due to some of her Core Medals going missing, Mezool appears to be the most kind of the Greeed as her methods can provide enough Cell Medals for both herself and the other Greeed. She serves as a mother figure to the others, as her desire is to know and feel true love, reflecting in her relation to Gamel and her human form of a high school-aged girl. Her marine life-based Yummy, which first become roe-like eggs, feed indirectly off the human's desire while forming a "nest" that incubates over a period of time while the human indulges their desire. Their presence mostly concealed until the eggs hatch into their complete forms, either with one Yummy at a time or all eggs hatch into an army, compelled to return to Mezool and break up into many Cell Medals for her and the Greeed to ingest. After being tricked by Kazari as he takes all but one of her Core Medals, she finds herself on the run from Uva before finding Gamel and absorbing him to regain her Core Medals as well as any other Core Medals in Gamel's body. Not having all of her Core Medals to contain the power, her seemingly complete form ended up being just as unstable before Maki adds two of Uva's Core Medals and several thousand Cell Medals. The additional energy forces the Greeed to become a Mega Greeed. As a result of becoming a Mega Greeed Out of Control (巨大グリード暴走態 Kyodai Gurīdo Bōsōtai) due to the unstable power within her, her new leviathan-like body having heavy animal characteristics due to the influence of Gamel's Medals, Mezool becomes a mindless monster with an obsession to consume everything in sight. With assistance from Kamen Rider Birth, Kamen Rider OOO retrieves Uva's two Core Medals from the Mega Greeed's body and destroys her with Gatakiriba Combo. Mezool's Core Medals are then divided among the remaining Greeed, with Ankh claiming one Unagi Medal. After Uva manages to revive her, Mezool sides with Kazari's group after suffering defeat at the hands of Kamen Rider OOO Putotyra Combo, to escape destruction once again now at the hands of Kazari and Ankh (Lost) as well as so she can regain the rest of her Core Medals. Later, after Ankh gives her back her Core Medals to assume her complete form, spurred by Maki knowing it was a facade, Mezool leaves Gamel in order to achieve her desire. To that end, she proceeds to abduct mother/child pairs and sealing them in her Yummy eggs, sucking both the love and life out of them. With her full power, Mezool is able to counter Kamen Rider OOO Latorartar Combo before he uses the Toride Vendor and the Medagabryu to shatter a full set of her Core Medals. Mezool then dies as Gamel arrives in her final moments, with only six of her Core Medals left in existence were left in existence before they are sucked into the black hole that emerged from the Kyouryu Greeed's body.

The name "Mezool" comes from the Japanese word mezuru (愛ずる?, "to love") ,[1] as it reflects Mezool's desire while her Yummy grow from the obsessions of the host.

Mezool is voiced by Yukana (ゆかな),[7] while her human form is portrayed by Honoka Miki (未来 穂香 Miki Honoka).[11][12]

Ankh (Lost)

Ankh (Lost) (アンク(ロスト) Anku (Rosuto)) appears after a series of bird Yummy appear in the city, sent to attack Ankh and retrieve the Core Medals from him. Though only the left arm is visible during his early appearances, this Ankh actually consists of nearly all of his body except for his right arm, lips, and the crest on the right side of his face, which are instead composed of blank purple skin. Furthermore, compared to the original, Ankh (Lost) refers to himself with the humble pronoun "Boku" (), as opposed to the Ankh's boastful "Ore" (), and retains almost all of Ankh's powers, including the ability to create Yummy. He was created 800 years ago when Ankh was betrayed by the original OOO, who in the act of sealing the other Greeed, ripped off Ankh's arm and the Core Medals containing his mind. The mindless body, sealed separately from the other Greeed, was in a state of rest in Europe for centuries, brewing the desire of recovering himself. A Condor Core Medal was ripped from his body by Kougami after having retrieved it during his trip to Europe mid-series, and the feeling of loss caused the body to awaken. Lacking the memories or personality of the original Ankh, Ankh (Lost)'s new personality is described as that of a baby bird looking desperately for its mother, continuously asking for the whereabouts of his other self and growing agitated when he detects his missing Core Medals. Ankh (Lost) is driven to absorb his other self and become whole again, though Ankh suspects any merger between them would consume the weaker one. Most of Ankh's abilities were preserved however, as during battle, Ankh (Lost) possesses all of the same abilities as Kamen Rider OOO's Tajadol Combo with roughly equal power, even able to perform his own variation of the Prominence Drop Scanning Charge. Additionally, Ankh (Lost) is still capable of producing bird-themed Yummy that attack people and then rob them of an attribute which they later feed to their host, much like a mother bird feeding her chicks. This Ankh allies himself with Kazari and Maki, taking on the human form of young boy dressed in red and black. Unlike the boy he copies, his right sleeve is tinted slightly purple. Overtime, Ankh (Lost) undergoes accelerated mental development, developing a more assertive personality and advanced mental capacity, beginning to act more like his other self. Combined with the tutoring from Kazari and the other Greeed, Ankh (Lost) created the Gamecock Yummy in a complex and very successful plan to reabsorb his other half while his guard was down. Despite fully absorbing Ankh, Ankh (Lost) has still not been able to fully regenerate due to Ankh having secretly given Hina a Taka Medal at the last second. Their fusion is also incomplete as Ankh (Lost) could sense his other self still defying him. Though he seemingly managed to fully absorb Ankh, Ankh (Lost) is destroyed when Kamen Rider OOO Putotyra Combo goes berserk and destroys three red Core Medals that were the foundation of his existence, leaving two of each of Ankh's Core Medals remaining until all but a broken Taka Medal are sucked into the black hole that emerged from the Kyouryu Greeed's body.[13]

Ankh (Lost) is voiced by Miyu Irino (入野 自由 Irino Miyu) while his human form is portrayed by Hikari Tobita (飛田 光里 Tobita Hikari).

Giru

Giru (ギル) is a dinosaur Greeed who only appears in Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider OOO & W Featuring Skull: Movie War Core. During the events of Movie War Core, he creates a male Pteranodon Yummy to arrange the creation of Kamen Rider Core and the resulting doomsday from the monster's creation. He is originally in an inactive state prior to the series, as the ten Core Medals that comprise him were sealed away before being found by the Kougami Foundation and locked up because of the Medals' destructive power. However, they were stolen by Kiyoto Maki after severing ties with the Foundation. Five of the Core Medals sense the presence of Kamen Rider OOO and enter Eiji Hino's body, while the other five were inserted into Doctor Maki by Kazari. Eiji's implanted Core Medals give him the ability to detect Yummy like Ankh can, with his eyes flashing purple whenever this happens or when the Medals otherwise take over his body, and later, when he consciously summons the purple Core Medals; while Maki's allow him to use Cell Medals to create both dinosaur-based and mythical animal-based Yummy. The Yummy created by the Purple Core Medals are made using inanimate objects that represent the end of a desire, such as broken dreams. Though he is originally reluctant to be in the same area as Eiji under the notion that Medals' full power would be invoked, Maki decides to take advantage of Eiji without Ankh while presenting how far his body has undergone Greeedification before he completely turns into a Greeed soon after.

The name "Giru" comes from the Japanese word uragiru (裏切る?, "to betray") , as his Yummy are the opposite of other Greeeds' Yummy by destroying desire rather than embodying it.

Giru is voiced by Kenji Hamada (浜田 賢二 Hamada Kenji). While the character is referred to by the name "Giru" in the film, Hamada is credited solely as the voice of the "Kyouryu Greeed" (恐竜グリード Kyōryū Gurīdo) in the film's credits.

Chiyoko Shiraishi

Chiyoko Shiraishi (白石 千世子 Shiraishi Chiyoko) is the owner of the International Cuisine Restaurant Cous Coussier (多国籍料理店クスクシエ Takokuseki Ryōriten Kusukushie), serving dishes from all over the world. She enjoys cosplaying as a method to bring more customers to her restaurant, frequently changing her restaurant's decor to satisfy different cultural themes. She hires Hina due to her having superhuman strength to lift things around the restaurant, and later Eiji, due to him being a world traveler. She also allows Ankh to stay at the restaurant after Eiji told her that he is a foreigner with a horrible childhood. Later, she also hires Shintaro Goto as a waiter. Chiyoko is initially the only recurring character to be unaware of the full scope of the Greeed situation, with Hina and Eiji going to lengths to prevent her from learning of Ankh's true nature and OOO. However, after considering the seriousness of the situation when Eiji fully transforms into a Greeed and Ankh is nearly destroyed, Hina decides to reveal everything to Chiyoko. Furthermore, Chiyoko strongly resembles Dr. Maki's deceased sister and caused the doctor great stress when he meets her for the first time before her kindness strengthen his resolve to destroy everything. Prior to the final battle, Chiyoko ends up being Kiyo-chan's new owner.

Chiyoko Shiraishi is portrayed by Marie Kai (甲斐 まり恵 Kai Marie), who also portrays Hitomi Maki.

King

The King ( Ō) of a mysterious lost civilization in Europe who became the first Kamen Rider OOO (先代仮面ライダーオーズ Sendai Kamen Raidā Ōzu) 800 years ago. Unlike Eiji, the King was a man with a ball of desire (欲望の塊 Yokubō no Katamari) who desired godhood. To that end, the King commissioned Gara and three other alchemists to create the Greeed for the purpose of achieving his goal to become a god through the Core Medals. However, because of his desire, the king's mind was warped by the power he sought before he was completely overwhelmed while using the powers of all the Core Medals at once, thus turning his body into a stone coffin which sealed the Greeed. Even though he failed, his only known descendant, Kousei Kougami, attempts to finish the job in the present through Eiji Hino.

The OOO Driver and the O Scanner that the king used had a more deeper and distorted voice unlike the ones used by Eiji in the present. The King also had a special set of the Taka, Tora, and Batta Core Medals which were stronger than the normal set of Core Medals. An artistic depiction of the first Kamen Rider OOO showed a form similar to Tatoba Combo wearing a cape and armed with a gauntlet similar to the Taja Spinner and a sword similar to the Medajaribur.

However, a Cell Medal that Ankh left behind in the past during his attempt to use the Den-Liner to get his hand on the other Greeeds' Core Medals provided Shocker with the means to bring their creation to life and cause the events of OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders to occur. Defeating Kamen Riders #1 and #2 in the past, the Shocker Greeed allowed Shocker to proceed with their plans to rule the world. But in the present, having faked their resulting brainwash thanks to a time paradox caused by the attempt to undo the monster's birth, the Double Riders manage to destroy the Shocker Greeed with their Double Rider Kick. However, the first OOO killed Gara and he was buried in Thuringia. Reawakened in June 2011 when Kougami unearths his tomb, Gara uses his alchemy to flip the area surrounding his tower from Germany over to Tokyo as he captures Kougami and Satonaka while possessing the body of Satsuki Wakaba (若葉 五月 Wakaba Satsuki). From there, seeing the world had not changed since his sealing, Gara takes the Greeeds' Core Medals and proceeds to use human desire to cause three time distortions in order to execute his doomsday scenario. He sends the Nue Yummy and his Knights to the time distortion leading into Edo to obtain the remaining Core Medal sets needed to complete his plan. However, falling for Kougami's trick, Gara's scheme to use human desire fails when his attempts to use Eiji's desire to his advantage damages the device.

Using the gathered Cell Medals when Kamen Rider OOO enters his tower, Gara assumes his true Greeed-like Inhumanoid Form (怪人態 Kaijintai) with extendable arms prior Kamen Rider OOO manages to free Satsuki from the monster's body. Though being defeated when Kamen Rider Fourze arrives to double team the monster, Gara manages to get Eiji's purple Core Medals to complete the Core Medal seven sets and transmutation into the Mega Greeed-like and his true dragon form called Gara Dragon (ガラドラゴン Gara Doragon) before being destroyed for good by all eight Kamen Rider OOO Combos' Scanning Charges and Kamen Rider Birth's Breast Cannon.

Kamen Rider Aqua's Rider Kicks are called the Oceanic Break (オーシャニックブレイク Ōshanikku Bureiku) and the Aqua Vortex (アクアヴォルテクス Akua Vorutekusu). Kamen Rider Aqua has a personal jet ski called the Aqua Miraider (アクアミライダー Akua Miraidā).[15][16][17] Kamen Rider Aqua is designed to resemble the first two Kamen Riders 1 and 2, with a simpler design and the tear-stainlike lines on his mask.[18]
