5 September 1958 CCCP-Л2048 Avia 14P Soviet UnionJõhvi 1/17 Aeroflot Flight 365 was hijacked by a passenger 30 minutes after takeoff. During the ordeal, lit cigarettes started a fire on board. The aircraft landed in flames at the airport; the hijacker died when the aircraft burned out.
