List of Encantadia (2016 TV series) characters

Encantadia is a Filipino fantasy television series by GMA Network. It is a reboot (often called as requel or retelling-sequel) of the 2005 fantasy series of the same name.[1] The show started airing on July 18, 2016 in the Philippines and worldwide through GMA Pinoy TV.[2]

Lireo

Sang'gre

Portrayed by Solenn Heussaff
The first queen of Lireo, cursed by the Bathalang Emre to live all eternity. Known as Ang Mata (the Eye) of Encantadia, Cassiopea has the power of precognition, which she uses to help the citizens of Encantadia look for answers, in exchange for gold. During her reign as the Queen of Lireo, she adopted an infant diwata named LilaSari, who was cursed to transform whoever glimpse onto her face into stone. Cassiopea was cursed by Bathalang Ether to be confined at the forest to prevent her from changing things which benefits other Sang'gres.

Supposedly next in line to the throne of Lireo, after her ashti Demetria who was the queen that time, died. Cassiopea however chose the young Sang'gre Mine-a as the new Queen, much to Adhara's dismay. Sang'gre Adhara was defeated by Mine-a. In her death, she arrived in Balaak, the hell of Encantadia, but was granted by Bathalang Arde the opportunity to come back to life through the sacrifice of the lives of the good. She was sent to the Carcero by Hitano, where in she started a revolution with other prisoned diwatas to bring the Lireo Queendom down.

Appointed Queen of Lireo by Cassiopea, Mine-a was once the keeper of all four elemental gems. Mine-a passed the throne to her second daughter, Amihan II. She is the daughter of Esmeralda, who was known as the most powerful Diwata in the land, and sister to Amihan I. Mine-a is the mother of Sang'gres Pirena, Amihan II, Alena, and Danaya, grandmother of Sang'gres Lira, Mira, and Kahlil, ans adopted grandmother of Pao-Pao. Mine-a was killed with a poisoned arrow by Prinsipe Asval of Sapiro.

Sister of Ynang Reyna Mine-a and a Dragon-riding guardian of Cassiopea's island, where then mother Brilyante was located. Sang'gre Amihan I died on the hands of her own sister accidentaly after Adhara used her as cover during a battle with Mine-a.

The daughter of Mine-a to then prince of Hathoria, Hagorn. She is the mother of Sang'gre Mira, who is currently masked as Amihan's daughter, Sang'gre Lira. Pirena is the keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy (Jewel of Fire). She has the ability to control fire and by the help of her gemstone, she can shapeshift into anyone in the kingdom.

Named after Mine-a's dead sister, Amihan, she is the second daughter of Ynang Reyna Mine-a, the only offspring to Prinsipe Raquim of Sapiro, and the mother of Sang'gre Lira, and adopted mother of Pao-Pao. Amihan is the keeper of Brilyante ng Hangin (Jewel of Air). She has the ability to manipulate air and forecast the weather and by the help of her gemstone, she can fly.

The third daughter of Mine-a, and her first offspring with the Sapirian hunter, Enuo. Sang're Alena is the mother of Sang'gre Kahlil, her son to Prinsipe Ybrahim of Sapiro. Alena is the keeper of Brilyante ng Tubig (Jewel of Water). She has the ability to do anything with water and she has her own ability and power to use her voice that can daze people and loose their control or even kill.

Mine-a's fourth and youngest daughter, and her second child with Enuo, a Sapirian hunter, making Sang'gres Alena and Danaya the only full-blooded sisters among the four. Danaya is the keeper of Brilyante ng Lupa (Jewel of Earth). She has the ability to control the environment and nature and by the help of her gemstone, she can transform into any animal she wishes.

Reyna Amihan's daughter with Prinsipe Ybrahim of Sapiro, paternal older half-sister of Kahlil, and adopted older sister of Pao-Pao. Sang'gre Lira was banished by her Ashti (aunt) Pirena to the human world when she was still an infant and even try to kill her but she was given a protection by her Ashti Danya against anyone who wished to do something against her especially Pirena. She was also given a power of beautiful voice by her Ashti Alena. Sang'gre Lira is the rightful heiress to the throne of Lireo.

The daughter of Sang'gre Pirena to an unknown Lirean soldier. Her mother gave birth to her as part of her plot to take the throne of Lireo.

The first known male Sang'gre, Kahlil is the first child of Sang'gre Alena and Prinsipe Ybrahim. He is destined to kill his half-sister, Sang'gre Lira. When he first meet the Lirean Queen, Cassiopea, attempted to manipulate Kahlil to prevent the foreseen future from happening, Bathaluman Ether ordered Haring Hagorn to take Kahlil into his care.

Lirean Soldiers

General of the Lirean army. Aquil is a loyal friend and soldier to the Ynang Reyna during her reign. He trained the queen's four daughters to reach their full potentials in fighting with dignity.

A Lirean soldier who is obsessively attracted to Sang'gre Alena. Hitano accepted Sang'gre Pirena's offer to live with the memory-removed Alena in the mortal world.

The Lirean Soldier who assisted Pirena in starting a rebellion with other diwatas which ended in fall of Lirean Queen Amihan II. Upon Sang'gre Pirena's claiming of the throne, he became the Masna, or Head Soldier of the royal army.

Pirena used him to have a child, before she killed him. He is the father of Sang'gre Mira.

Lirean Dama

Portrayed by Ana Feleo
The main dama of the queen of Lireo. Ades was killed by Haring Hagorn of Hathoria during the fall of Lireo. She then became the messenger of the passed diwatas in Devas.

Sang'gre Pirena's dama who is half-Hathor. She works as a spy to the kingdom of Hathoria, and it's king, Hagorn. Upon Sang'gre Pirena's reign as the faux Queen, Gurna became the head Dama.

Lambana

A lambana (pixie) friend of Sang'gre Alena. Muyak is Sang'gre Lira's guide and teacher in the mortal world.

A loyal friend and companion of Enuo, Rael joined the Sapiran's journey to the mortal world, where they now resides for good.

A cursed diwata with the power to transform anyone who look at her face into stone. As an infant, she was adopted by Reyna Cassiopea, who gave her a powerful mask to prevent LilaSari from harming other citizens of Lireo. Even though not a Sang'gre, she was once chosen by Cassiopea to be the next Queen of Lireo, but becauae of her envious attitude, Cassiopea decided not to. LilaSari then attempted to kill her adopted mother, but she cannot overpower the queen. Cassiopea then sent LilaSari to Carcero for her crimes against the queen. Sang'gre Adhara convinced LilaSari to join her revolution against the Queendom.

Mayca was a prisoner in Carsero, with her sister, Kayzan. Their crimes to the Lirean Queendom is currently unknown. Together with her sister, and LilaSari, they joined Sang'gre Adhara's revolution against Lireo.

Younger sister of Mayca, and just like her sister, a prisoner in Carsero. They joined Sang'gre Adhara's revolution against Lireo.

Transformed Diwata

Pao-Pao is the adopted son of Queen Amihan II, and adopted younger brother of Sang'gre Lira. Originally a human from the mortal world, 6-year-old Pao-Pao was abducted by the Barbaros and forced him to eat enchanted black rice which made him a permanent diwata. He later became the keeper of the fifth Brilyante, which holds the power of the other four Brilyantes, and gave him the power to transform into a full-grown warrior.

Carsero

Portrayed by Maureen Larrazabal
The Chief of Carcero, prson of criminal diwatas, Hafte Lanzu take orders from the Queen of Lireo. She started an illegal match where in she forced the prisoners to fight each other. After an uprising in Carsero, headed by prisoner Sang'gre Adhara, which led into a massive prisoner beeak out, Queen Pirena killed Hafte Lanzu as punishment.

Hafte Lanzu's right hand woman and head guard of Carsero. She was killed during the prisoners' uprising and breakout.

One of the survivors after the fall of Sapiro. Asval is a traitor to the kingdom, for attempting to kill the heir of Haring Armeo, and for killing Reyna Mine-a of Lireo, the biggest ally of Sapiro.

Sapirian Army

One of the surviving Sapirians after the fall of Sapiro. Alira Naswen headed the other surviving Sapirian soldiers as they relocated to Lireo, the allied kingdom of Sapiro. She is shown to have a romantic interest with Aquil, head of the Lirean Army. She is the rival of Sang'gre Danaya to Aquil. Alira is known to be vindictive but not betrayal as Asval.

A brave Sapirian hunter, chosen by Bathalang Emre to be the father of Lireo's Reyna Mine-a's third and fourth children, Sang'gre Alena and Sang'gre Danaya. He once saved the infant Sang'gre Amihan II from an attempted assassination by an unknown creature (Gurna). He currently lives in the mortal world, where he assisted his daughter, Danaya, as well as Muyak, into going back to Encantadia.

Mandirigma

The chief of Mandirigma tribe. As a request by the dying queen of Sapiro, he took care of Prinsipe Ybrahim as his own.

Ybarro's friend and companion. Wantuk uses spear as his main weapon for fighting.

Another one of Ybarro's friend and companion. Just like Wantuk, he also uses spear. Pakô was killed in war during the fall of Lireo.

Ascano

The blacksmith leader of Ascano. Vish'ka was a friend to Sang'gre Adhara, whom he also made a powerful weapon once. He betrayed Adhara after the supposedly long dead Sang'gre resurfaced, by sending Adhara to the Lirean guards. He created Sang'gre Lira's armour. Vish'ka was killed by Haring Hagorn.

Leader of the Adamyans and the original keeper of Brilyante ng Tubig (Jewel of Water). After the fall of Adamya to the hands of Haring Arvak of Hathoria, Imaw and the rest of surviving Adamyans resided in Lireo.

A young Mulawin in training who aided Reyna Amihan on her request to find the missing Ybarro he was the lone survivor of the Mulawin genocide, orchestrated by Haring Hagorn pf Hathoria. (Pagaspas is an original character from the TV Series Mulawin, and its preceding film, also played by Tanfelix.)

A Mulawin living in mortal world, not particularly in Avila, who will fight for the Diwatas. He assisted Sang'gres Danaya and Lira into their journey to return in Encantadia. His mother, siblings, and child died during the Mulawin genocide, by Haring Hagorn.
