List of Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot episodes

The bears prefer Grumpy's desserts to Share's, making her jealous. She asks Grumpy his secret, but since he doesn't understand her, she suggests they bake cookies together. As days go on, Share's jealousy grows, making her cookies bitter, and due to this, Grumpy's cookies seem even better. Share puts a stall where she sells cookies for free with gifts, but the bears only buy the cookies to get the objects, and Wonderheart even decides to trade them with Grumpy for his cookies. Share, not standing the situation anymore, visits Beastly's cave and concocts a plan with him to make the bears eat her desserts again, by smashing Grumpy's oven, and promising him a reward. Haden tries to stop Beastly, but ends up blamed by Grumpy, and does not defend herself. Meanwhile, at the tea party, Share's jealousy make her desserts hardly edible, and when Grumpy arrives accusing Haden of destroying his oven. Share tries to defend Haden. However, Grumpy doesn't believe her. Finally, Share reveals her plot with Beastly; she also confesses she was very jealous of Grumpy and apologizes. Haden and Grumpy forgive her, and she tastes her cookies, only to find they are terrible. Tenderheart says that her jealousy over Grumpy is the reason of the cookies' bitterness, and Grumpy points out that he still has his barbecue.

The Care Bears and Beastly (except Tenderheart Bear and Harmony Bear) catch the Feelings Flu, causing them to swap personalities (Grumpy and Cheer, Share and Funshine, Wonderheart and Beastly) and feelings. The Care Bears set off to find the Healing Herb, which grows at three spots in the season and that they all must take before sunset, otherwise they will remain with their new feelings forever, in the Moody Mountains.

When Cheer and Grumpy are paired together as a team, they must work together in order to get their Belly Badge Powers back. The episode starts with Cheer riding a rainbow and inadvertently making Grumpy fall out of his hammock. While they are having tea at Share's house, arguing about their cups being half empty or half full, leading Share to fill the two cups. They later assist Harmony's concert, as they are critics; Harmony mentions that Grumpy gives everyone of her concerts 2 grumps down, but Cheer tells her to think of the next day's Belly Badge Scavenger Hunt.

The next day, Cheer argues with Grumpy, where they say they would be happy as anybody's partner except themselves, and that Grumpy says that he hopes to be "happily surprised" by his partner, to which Cheer responds that she is surprised anything could make Grumpy happy. Upon arrival, Harmony confronts Grumpy about his rating and review ("Let's Make A Rainbow! Let's not. Harmony's concert was so disgustingly sweet and harmonious that the only thing this bear wanted to make was a run to the exit: 2 grumps down").

The teams are randomly shuffled with the participating bears' names on pieces on paper, and as the last two papers in the basket are with Grumpy and Cheer's names, they are paired together. After desperately trying to swap, but this being refused as Tenderheart said this wasn't allowed, Grumpy and Cheer try to stand each other and find badges.

Grumpy and Cheer do not collect a single badge (they did find one, but during the time they spent arguing, another team collected the badge), but accidentally knock the Belly Badge Crystal out of Wonderheart's hand, and it rolls off the cloud. Deemed responsible for losing the Crystal, Grumpy and Cheer are forced to retrieve it, during which they grow to know and understand each other. After Grumpy and Cheer retrieve the Crystal and bringing it back, Funshine and Share are announced the winners. However, having had enough of not having their Belly Badge Powers, Funshine and Share give the prize to Grumpy and Cheer. Grumpy and Cheer choose each other's badges, to everyone's shock.
