Linton Clarke Freeman is an American structuralist sociologist known for his pioneering work in social networks. He is an emeritus professor of Sociology at the University of California, Irvine.[1] Freeman was the first derive the metric of Betweenness centrality. He is the founding editor of the journal Social Networks which started being published in 1978.[2]
