Linda Salzman Sagan

Linda Salzman (born July 16, 1940) is an artist and writer, who created the artwork for the plaque on the Pioneer spacecraft[1] and coproduced the Voyager Golden Record.[2]

She co-authored the book Murmurs of Earth with her husband, astronomer Carl Sagan, whom she married on April 6, 1968; the marriage lasted until their divorce in 1981.[3] She also directed plays for the Central Casting Theater in Ithaca, New York, and wrote episodes of television shows such as Knots Landing and General Hospital.

Salzman is the mother of author and screenwriter Nick Sagan.[2]
