Lillian Rich (1 January 1900 5 January 1954) was an English-born actress of the silent era. She appeared in 66 films between 1919 and 1940. She was born in Herne Hill, London and died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. A beautiful woman often overlooked or forgotten today, she starred as the female lead in many a silent feature throughout the twenties. Her nearest to ascending the height of fame is when she worked with Cecil B. DeMille and Jack Hoxie on a few pictures. Incredibly for such an attractive woman Rich was appearing in short films in the early sound-to-mid 1930s era and finished out her career in Laurel and Hardy shorts. Rich bore something of a resemblance to Mildred Harris and is not related to Irene Rich.
