Lewis Tan is an actor with a strong background in martial arts and stunts. He has performed action scenes for movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift . He recently gained significant attention and press for being cast as a comic book favorite villain Zhou Cheng in Marvel's Iron Fist.[1] He has trained many years under famous acting coach John Kirby and uses his action background to perform his own fight scenes. He was also hand picked by Forest Whitaker to play one of the leads in the dramatic thriller "Sacrifice". Lewis is represented by ICM Partners and Luber Roklin Entertainment.

Biography

Lewis Tan's father Philip Tan, is a national champion martial artist, gymnast and dancer who later became a celebrated stuntman and action director. His mother is a retired fashion model in Europe. When Lewis was young, his family moved from England to Los Angeles so that his father could collaborate with Tim Burton on Batman. After his first day in college Tan was left with a decision to stay in school or start his film career, he chose the latter and went to work on Pirates of the Caribbean in the Bahamas. He has been working and gaining momentum ever since. Besides acting, Lewis has modeled for many brands, including Dior, GNC, Levis, Puma and was also the face of Nivea in Asia for many years. Lewis founded his own production company, Make Love Inc where he directs music videos, short films and commercials. [2]

Tan was cast in Marvel's Iron Fist as the villain Zhou Cheng. He initially auditioned and was highly considered for the titular role, but he lost out to Finn Jones.[3]
