Levolor

Levolor (also doing business as Levolor Kirsch Window Fashions) is a manufacturer of custom window blinds and shades,[1][2] stock blinds and shades, custom draperies, and drapery hardware. It is a division of Newell Brands,[3] falling under the business unit of Newell Brands.[4]

History

The company was founded in 1914 in Hoboken N.J by H.K Lorentzen, (1888–1974) a Danish immigrant as a Die cutter left stranded while he came from China. Considered the Henry Ford of the industry who introduced standardization, vertical integration, metal manufacturing and assembly lines concept [5] In 1993, Levolor was acquired by Newell (known today as Newell Rubbermaid).[6] In March 2016, Levolor was acquired by Hunter Douglas, another custom window blind manufacturer.

Levolor is headquartered in the Atlanta, GA corporate offices of Newell Rubbermaid and has operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China.[5] Consumers can purchase Levolor products from a number of major retailers including Home Depot, Lowe's, JC Penney's, RONA, and other independent dealers and stores.
