Letícia Román (born 12 August 1941) is an Italian film actress.

Biography

Román was born Letícia Novarese in Rome on August 12, 1941.[1] She was daughter of stage actress Giuliana Gianni and screenwriter and costume designer Nino Novarese.[2] Letícia Román started her film career with a small part in the Elvis Presley film G.I. Blues where she plays the romantic interest of actor James Douglas.[3] Román had her first leading role in the film The Girl Who Knew Too Much (1963), where she plays Nora Davis, a mystery obsessed woman who believes she has witnessed a murder.[4] After completing the film, Román went to Germany where she made several films including Russ Meyer's Fanny Hill.[5] Román retired from acting after getting married in 1966.[6] According to actor John Saxon, Román later worked in the real estate business in Los Angeles briefly.[6]

Ms Novarese was married to successful Beverly Hills lawyer, Peter Gelles. She became a successful and dynamic real estate business woman and established her own Beverly Hills real estate agency. Later on, she became a registered securities broker and built a successful investment banking career with H. J. Meyers & Co. Inc., in Beverly Hills California. She served as a two term President of the Italian American Chamber of Commerce in California.
