"Let the Beat Control Your Body" is a song recorded by Dutch Eurodance band 2 Unlimited.

Release and reception

"Let the beat control your body" is the fifth and final single taken from 2 Unlimited's second album, No Limits.[1]

The release scored chart success in many European countries peaking in the top ten in Spain, Belgium and the UK among others.

The album version was largely instrumental and contained just a few spoken words from Ray and Anita. The single version, however, contained full verses rapped by Ray, and a new chorus sung by Anita.

The title of the song was changed to "Let the Bass Control Your Body" in France because the word "beat" sounds very similar to the French slang word for penis.

Appearances

Dance music artist Chaah (aka Susanne Jark) uses the melody from "Let the Beat Control Your Body" in her 1999 release titled "The Funkiness of You".[2]
