Lawrence Romorini

Lawrence Romorini is an American artist specializing in 3-dimensional commemorative art. He is best known for his detailed collages showcasing history, leadership and accomplishments for corporate anniversaries and CEO retirements.

Biography

Born in Milan, Italy, Romorini came to New York City with his parents and sister.

Romorini's first three-dimensional collage was a gift created for Nancy Craig, a client who introduced him to his wife. Craig’s positive response inspired him to pursue the concept of a collage studio. Romorini founded One of a Kind Art Studio in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1985. USA Today, his first corporate client, commissioned art to commemorate the paper's fifth anniversary and honor its founder, Allen Neuharth. Commissions followed for Kenny Rogers's 50th birthday, The Limited stores' 25th anniversary, Representative Jack Kemp's retirement from Congress, the 100th anniversary of the founding of Mechanical Contractors Association of America, and television host Oprah Winfrey's Christmas card.

Romorini’s art installations are on display in public and private collections nationwide, including commissions for Banc One, Winfrey, Marriott, Jack Welch, Michael Jordan, Ernst & Young, American Chemical Society, and Southwest Airlines.

Custom Designed Art

At his studio, Romorini custom designs and constructs each collage, incorporating miniaturized photos, publications, memorabilia and personal keepsakes, elevated on different planes with thin rods and enclosed in Plexiglas. The miniaturization of the items allows Romorini to include hundreds of items.
