Lancashire Business School

Lancashire Business School at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is business school based in the city of Preston, Lancashire, and is one of 18 Schools within UCLan. It is located in a building at the heart of UCLan’s campus, close to the city centre.

Courses

Lancashire Business School delivers courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including an MBA programme, as well as offering bespoke programmes to businesses and organisations. It’s academic programmes are supported by links with the business world. Part time courses include; The Lancashire Business School MBA, Postgraduate Certificate in Management (PGCM), Diploma in Management Studies (DMS), MSc/PGDip/PGCert Business Project Management.

Research

Nearly a third of the research conducted at Lancashire Business School was rated as world-leading or of international significance in the recent Research Assessment Exercise RAE (2008). [1]

The school is home to two research institutes: The Institute of International Business (IIB) and the Institute of Innovation, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship (i2e2).

Accreditations

A number of the School's programmes have received accreditation from professional bodies, allowing either a joint award to be made on completion of a degree course, or direct entry to or advanced standing on professional qualifications.

Lancashire Business School is a member of the Association of Business Schools (ABS) and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
