LANco's name is short for Lancaster & Company. The band was founded in 2013. After meeting record producer Jay Joyce at a Keith Urban concert, they signed to his publishing company, and then to Arista Nashville.[2] Through that label, they have released one extended play and one single, "Long Live Tonight". Another one of their songs, "American Love Story", appears in the Netflix series The Ranch.[3]
