Kuthpady is a village in the Udupi District in the state of Karnataka on the west coast of India. Kuthpady is located 4.5 km from the town of Udupi, around 11 km from Manipal, around 10 km from Malpe Port and beach.
Kuthpady is in Udupi taluk of Udupi district.[1] Languages spoken in the region include Tulu, Konkani.
Kuthpady is famous for the SDM Ayurveda Hospital and College, Mangodu Subramanya Temple, Vasuki Subramanya Temple, and Kanangi Temple which is one of its kind. Many people from kuthpady have represented the district, state, nation in Sports, Education, Politics etc. Every year thousands of people visit the Subramanya temples during Subramanya Shrasthi, which falls in November and December.
Ramdooth vyayama shale Regd. is a gym khana for many youths and is located here since 25 years. Expect this it is contributing in many social activities like providing basic need for the peoples and to the students. Friends kuthpady cricketers is a branch of Ramdooth vyama shale which has won many tournaments and conducted national level cricket tournaments.In the year 2013 Friends Kuthpady has conducted national level tennis ball cricket tornament "Kuthpady Friends Trophy-2013" with cash prize of 1.5lakh and a bike as a man of the series.
