Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi (English: A few colors of love can be like this too) is an Indian fiction romance television series, which premiered on 29 February 2016[1] on Sony TV, Sony TV Asia and ARY Zindagi.[2]

Shaheer Sheikh, Erica Fernandes and Supriya Pilgaonkar play the lead roles. The series is a realistic take on the romantic relationship between Devrath and Sonakshi. Their love story and how it will impact the unique, close-knit relationship between Devrath and his mother is the main theme of the show.[2][3]

Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi has been dubbed in Tamil as Ini Ellam Vasanthame and broadcast on Polimer TV.[4] Due to Shaheer Sheikh's popularity in Indonesia, the show has also been dubbed in Bahasa as Cinta Perlahan Tumbuh and airs on ANTV.[5]

The series has received positive critical response, with some praise directed at Sheikh's performance and his chemistry with Erica Fernandes.[6][7] In late November 2016, there were reports stating that the show is going to go off air giving way to historical drama Peshwa Bajirao, but rejecting the reports the channel briefed that "Kuch Rang is one of our best shows. It is doing great on the TRP charts and also has a dedicated fan following. People love the characters. There’s no question of ending the show." [8]

Plot

The show is set in Delhi, and revolves around Mr. Devrath Dixit and Dr. Sonakshi Bose.

Dev is a successful business tycoon who lives with his mother Ishwari, whom he's devoted to, his three beloved sisters, Neha, Nikki and Riya, his uncle, aunt and their son. Dr. Bose, on the other hand is a consulting nutritionist, who hails from a middle class Bengali family of five, and is appointed by Dev for Ishwari's permanent consulting nutritionist. Initially, both Ishwari and Dev are indifferent to Sonakshi but gradually form a bond with her.

Soon, Ishwari half-heartedly fixes Dev's marriage with a young businesswoman Natasha, and meanwhile Dev and Sonakshi realise their love for each other which leads to breaking the alliance. They start a relationship without informing anyone. In-between, Neha gets married to Ranveer, her tutor.

Later, Ishwari finds out about Dev and Sonakshi's relationship and reluctantly agrees to their alliance but soon succumbs to depression and overdoses on sleeping pills. Sensing his mother's disapproval, Dev breaks up with Sona, while both of them suffer privately and tries to move on. Sonakshi leaves her current job and finds a new job as a consulting nutritionist.

Enters Dr. Ritwick, as Sonakshi's would-be fiance. Dev and Sona fail to move on in their relationship which leads to breaking the alliance between Ritwick and Sonakshi. Ishwari fails to break Dev and Sona's alliance. Ishwari realise her mistake by seeing Dev's painful condition, for which she finally agrees to their alliance and all sort of conditions. Dev's uncle, Baldev tries his best to bond these three relationships, also disrupted by Sonakshi's bold payback to Dev and to Ishwari through Dev. After a lot of persuasion, Dev finally gets married to Sona. In the middle of it all, Dev's grand aunt arrives with her over the top customs and traditions but leaves after Dev and Sona's wedding.

Prenuptial agreement issue and Dev's decision of hiding Sonakshi's ovulation problem are yet to be unfold. Neha returns home because she can't adjust living in Ranveer's house. Riya already works in Dev's company, and then Vicky, spoilt cousin of Dev, joins his company as the project head after Ishwari manipulates Dev to do so after Dev and mainly Sona's denial. The Bose family goes through a financial crisis as Sona left. Vicky traps Ellena to fall in love with him. Sona tries to help her elder brother, Saurabh to overcome the financial crisis. Ranveer files harassment case against Neha, leading to divorce. Ishwari plans Riya's wedding. Dev and Sona try to fix everything.
