"Kiss Kiss" (Korean: 키스 키스) is a song by South Korean girl group Ladies' Code. It was released as a single album on August 7, 2014 by Polaris Entertainment and is the group's fifth single overall. This was the last release featuring members EunB and RiSe, after their death on September 2014.[1]
Videoclip
The music video, released on August 6th 2014, was the last video that featured the five original members together. The video (released a month before the fatal car accident) caused controversy, while many pointed out coincidences relating to the death of members EunB and RiSe.
The video is an inspiration in the fairytale "The Princess and the Frog". It shows the five members walking into a room, where we can see a man inside a coffin, and they all feeling tempted to kiss him (as if it was the "kiss" of death). Many symbolisms also refer to death, like the man in the coffin and also poisoned apples. Throughout the video, the group "flirts" with death, while EunB and RiSe are the ones who actually get in contact with death. (EunB kneels in front of the coffin when the man inside of it wakes up and kiss her; RiSe kisses a black-and-yellow frog that has the same poison of death as the apples). The lyrics also hint something unusual about the song. RiSe sings: "Why did you come, I'm still so young" and EunB says: "It's so embarrassing, I couldn't open my eyes."
The video ends with RiSe, sitting on a chair in a machine going in the direction of a wall with a black face on it, (the accident happened when the van where the group was crashed into a wall) and moving to kiss it. But, suddenly, Zuny unplugs a cord and the machine stops working. EunB died by the time the accident happened, RiSe died four days later during a surgery.
