Kim Waugh

Kim Waugh (maiden name Kim Moore) is an Australian horse trainer. Her most notable achievement in Thoroughbred racing has been winning the Sydney Cup with the stayer Mahtoum.[1][2]

She is married to former Australian cricketer Mark Waugh.[3]

Kim is a trainer well known in Sydney and has been one of the most prominent female trainers over the last 15 years. She has achieved a very high strike rate from a small team operating from Wyong Racecourse.

Early career

Kim began her professional horse career as a harness driver on the now defunct Harold Park track. Her main source of drives was for trainer Charlie Parsons. Her abilities were honed behind some of Parsons' greats. At the time female drivers were very much a minority.
