Ken Scholes (born January 13, 1968) is a science fiction and fantasy writer living in St. Helens, Oregon.[1] He refers to himself as "trailer boy", a reference to his childhood home.[2]

His short story Into the Blank Where Life is Hurled won 3rd place in the 4th quarter of the 2005 Writers of the Future contest.[3]

His first novel, Lamentation, was published on February 17, 2009.[4] Based on a previous short story entitled "Of Metal Men and Scarlet Thread and Dancing with the Sunrise",[5] it is but the first of five in the Psalms of Isaak saga. Book two, Canticle, was released in October 2009.[6]
