Keep Watching is an upcoming American horror film directed by Sean Carter and written by Joseph Dembner. It was produced by Nicolas Chartier, Howard Young, Andrew Rona, Alex Heineman, Craig J. Flores, Joseph Dembner. It stars Bella Thorne, Ioan Gruffudd, Natalie Martinez, Chandler Riggs, Leigh Whannell, Matthew Willig, and Christopher James Baker.

Plot

Jamie (Bella Thorne) is a confused and problematic girl, hiding a secret. Her parents Carl (Ioan Gruffudd) and Betty (April McCullough) are divorced, but she never accepted her new stepmother, Nicole (Natalie Martinez). After a weekend away turns into a weekend of terror, Jamie must play a life-and-death game to save her family from three psychopaths – anonymously under the names Mysterious (Leigh Whannell), Terror (Matthew Willig) and Creator (Christopher James Baker).

Cast

Production

Originally the film would be called Home Invasion.[1] The production of the film began in April 2013, when Joseph Dembner's script was approved by Voltage Pictures. It was the first time that Dembner wrote a screenplay, working before only as producer.[2] After, Sean Carter was confirmed as director.[3] On July, 2013, Bella Thorne was the first confirmed name, announced as the lead role, Jamie.[4] At the same time the synopsis was revealed.[5] In September, Natalie Martinez was also confirmed.[6] In October, Ioan Gruffudd and Chandler Riggs completed the main cast.[7] In March 2014, the film began filming.[8][9]

Release

In October 2015, Screen Gems acquired distribution rights to the film, changing the title from Home Invasion to Keep Watching.[10] The name was changed to Keep Watching, because there are other films with the original name.[11] The film was scheduled to be released on December 2, 2016 but was taken off the release schedule and was rescheduled for March 24, 2017.[12]
