Kastriot Dermaku (born 15 January 1992) is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Italian club Lucchese on loan from Empoli.

Club career

Early career

Dermaku was born in Scandiano, a comune in Emilia-Romagna, in the northeast part of Italy country, near Reggio nell'Emilia city and Secchia river. He started his youth career at the fellow Emilia-Romagna comune U.S. Sassuolo Calcio. In 2011 he moved to A.S. Melfi.

Melfi

In his last season the 2014–15, Dermaku was named as a team captain.

Empoli

Early in May 2015 media reported that Dermaku would join Empoli F.C. in the summer transfer window and will sign a three-years contract with the Serie A club.[1] He was seen as a replacement for Daniele Rugani which left for Juventus.[2]

International career

Dermaku debutted with Albania national under-21 football team on 6 February 2013 under the coach Skënder Gega against Macedonia U-21 in a goalless draw.
