Kasam — Tere Pyaar Ki (English: Swear Of Your Love) is an Indian Hindi romantic television series, which premiered on 7 March 2016, and is broadcast on Colors TV at 10.00 pm (Mon – Fri). The series is produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Kratika Sengar and Sharad Malhotra play the lead roles. Based in the backdrop of Punjab, the plot of the series will take viewers through different time phases and shows them how love survives all ordeals.[1][2]

Plot

The story revolves around Tanushree Khurrana, fondly called Tanu (Kratika Sengar) and Rishi (Sharad Malhotra) who are childhood friends. One day, Rishi falls by the side of a river, and Tanu saves him. Both of them are taken to Maa Kali temple, where a sadhu woman named Katyayani Bai prophesizes that Tanu and Rishi's kundli match very well, and Tanu will shield Rishi from every distress. But, Rano (Vibha Chibber), the mother of Rishi, dislikes Tanu and her family. Rano brainwashes her husband Raaj's mind to shift to America.

17 years go by, and Tanu is eagerly waiting for Rishi to return. Rishi and his family reach Patiala, where Tanu resides, and on the same day, Tanu's parents are tragically killed in a terrorist attack. Rishi' family reach Tanu's home and comes to know that his friend has died. Bani, the aunt of Tanu, takes Rishi and family to Mumbai, where Bani's own Daughters, Swati and Neha reside and tells that her daughter Neha is Tanu. Tanu and Ahana also reach Mumbai, but Bani says that she is her relative Tanvi. On the same night, Rishi and Tanu meet, and Rishi instantly fall for Tanu, without knowing that she is Tanu. Now, Rishi's marriage is fixed with Neha (The fake Tanu). On the engagement day, Rishi is shocked to know that he is engaged to Neha. This disheartens him, as he loves Tanvi (fake name of Tanu). Now, Tanvi's marriage is fixed with Pawan. Rishi dislikes Pawan, as he loves Tanvi. Soon, Rishi finds out that Pawan is already married to Saloni. He tries many ways to break the alliance, but in vain. But on the day of Tanvi and Pawan's marriage and Rishi and Neha's marriage, he drugs Tanvi and he rides her to a temple to marry her. When Tanvi regains consciousness, she is shocked to find herself with Rishi. Soon, Katyayani Bai arrives and tells Tanvi to tell the truth that she is Tanu. Tanu tells about her true identity, and Rishi is shocked, but moreover happy. The couple marry, but Pawan is behind them. After many problems, they find a way to go home. Neha, who is upset with her broken marriage, calls Sandy, her boyfriend and tells him that Rishi betrayed her and tried t rape her. Sandy becomes angry, and in a fit of rage, decides to kill Rishi. Sandy finds out were Tanu and Rishi were there and goes there. He points his gun towards Rishi, and shoots. In between, Tanu comes and takes a bullet on herself. She dies in the arms of Rishi. Neha is very happy about Tanu's death.

Soon, Bedi family come to know about the truth and go to the Place were the couple was there. They find Tanu lyong lifeless in the arms of Rishi, and are saddened. Rishi tries suicide, but Tanu's soul comes to Rishi and stops him. Tanu saves Rishi's life even after her death. On the same night of Tanu's death, Tanu is reborn to Sandy's brother as Tanuja.

After 20 years

Rishi is now a powerful business tycoon, and doesn't value love. He is cruel to his subordinates. Yuvraj is now married to Divia and has a son, Nakul. Manpreet is also married to Ahaana and has 2 children, Smiley and Chintu. Once Rishi gets a marriage proposal from Mallika, but he turns down the proposal. Bani, now more wicked, decides to write a letter to Rano and shey says that Bani and her husband are suffering from cancer, and are counting their last days. Neha and Sandy are in coma after an accident and there is nobody to look after Neha's daughters Vidhi and Nidhi, and Sandy's niece Tanuja. Rano receives the letter and deny them to stay at their place, but after sometime she allowa them to stay in the storeroom. Tanuja and Rishi meet several times, but he doesn't recognize her. One day, Tanuja's face burns badly and is advised for plastic surgery, but Biji gives Tanu's photo. Tanuja gets Tanu's face, and is misunderstand her. She is eventually thrown out of her house. A girl names Malaika arrives at Rishi's home, who loves Rishi. One day, while Tanuja is walking on the road, Malaika's car hits her. Malaika brings Tanuja to Bedi house. Tanuja saves Bedi family from the blame.

Tanuja and Rishi become close to each other, and spare sometime with each other. Tanuja, Rishi & Malaika went to see the hotel so Rishi can buy it. The terrorist attacked the hotel where few were killed. While saving Rishi from getting hit by bullet Tanuja got shot. Rishi took her to the hospital where Tanuja survived from the bullet. Rano emotionally blackmails Rishi into marrying Malaika. He proposed to her and tells his decision to his family which left Tanuja heartbroken. The mehndi ceremony started where everyone was enjoying except Rishi. Raj confronts Tanuja about her feelings for Rishi and she accepts it.Raj sees Malaika with another man named Shikhar and tells Tanuja to marry Rishi.Tanuja sits in the mandap and everyone thinks it's Malaika.After marriage ceremony gets complete everyone gets to know the truth.
