Karnesh Sharma is an Indian film producer. He is the co-founder of the production company Clean Slate Films, along with sister, actress Anushka Sharma.[1] The brother-sister duo produced crime thriller NH10 in 2015 and are ready with their second production Phillauri, scheduled for release in March 2017.[1][2]

Personal Life

Sharma hails from Uttar Pradesh, India. His father Ajay Kumar Sharma was a Colonel in the Indian Army, while mother Ashima Sharma is a homemaker.[3] Sharma was a state level cricket player and played for the under-19 Bangalore Ranji cricket team. He was formerly serving in the Merchant Navy.[4] His sister Anushka Sharma is a film actress and producer.[5]

Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma are the only brother-sister producer team in Bollywood.[6] Their first crime thriller NH10 garnered critical acclaim and was regarded as a sleeper hit.[7] Their second project Phillauri starring Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh is scheduled for release on March 31, 2017.[6] The team also has two more upcoming projects.[6]
