Karim Metwaly (born August 9, 1992) is an American YouTuber, actor, singer, director, vlogger and prankster from New York City. As of October 2016, Karim has over 1.2 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.[1]

Life and career

Karim was born in Manhattan, New York City to Muslim parents from Egypt. He began his career as an actor at an early age. He has acted in various plays and musicals including Anything Goes and Brigadoon. Karim joined YouTube and started creating videos on his channel named "AreWeFamousNow". He has also taken part on the channel "3MH" with Slim Albaher, Adam Saleh and Sheikh Akbar later 3MH split up and Karim continued on his own channel.[2]
He has over a million subscribers on his YouTube channel. He has collaborated with many YouTubers including Ryan Higa. He creates parodies and videos about Muslims and many of his videos became viral. His video "10 Hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman in Hijab" has over 12 million views.[3] His other videos including "Blind Muslim Trust Social Experiment" and "Would You Date A Muslim" have received worldwide coverage.[4][5] Karim has also created parodies of various songs including PSY's Gangnam Style and Gentleman with Sheikh Akbar.[6] He also has a gaming channel, KuKuBUFF.[7]
