Kamalpuralam

Kamalpur Alam is one of the eighty-four villages of Chhachh Valley, of Tehsil Hazro, Attock District, Punjab, Pakistan. Its founder's name is Aamaan Shir Khan, who was chief of a Pukhtun tribe Barakzai originally belonged to Afghanistan. Aamaan shir khan had three sons, Alam khan, Mitha khan and Qasim khan. The name of the village came from the name of Alam or Alam khan.

Kamalpur Alam is not a very big village as compared to other village of Chhachh. Its total population is round about 3000 to 3500 people. Its boundaries touches with River Indus (which separates it from Hund village of District Sawabi), Daman, Kamalpur Musa and Painda. Some of its people live overseas like in, Europe, America, and Arab countries, others are farmers. Literacy rate in kamalpur alam is very low and only primary schools are available for boys and girls. Like other villages of chhachh Kamalpur Alam is considered as backward village/area. But people of Kamalpur Alam are very friendly, kind and simple.

The peoples of Kamalpur Alam are one family of Barakzai, but there are some others too. The Barakzai belongs to Qandhar in Afghanistan. The new generation of Kamalpur Alam is well educated and working in the field of Road Safety, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Seaman and I.T, etc. The peoples of Kamalpur Alam are very welfare and social. The most famous chhuchh religious personality Molana Zahoor-ul-Haq sahib and Mr. Imran Khan Essa Khan, Advanced Driving Lecturer accredited by RoSPA Mr imran aslam khan (CHEC) are belongs to kamalpur Alam.
