Justice Elio Smith (born August 9, 1995) is an American film and television actor, best known for playing Radar in the film Paper Towns, and Ezekiel in the Netflix Original Series The Get Down.
Early life
Smith was born on August 9, 1995 in Los Angeles, California, to an African-American father and a mother of Italian and French-Canadian descent.[2] He is not related to actor and musician Will Smith.[3] Smith graduated from the Orange County School of the Arts in 2013, and has performed in shows around Orange County starring as the lead actor in the musical 13.
Career
In 2014, Smith appeared in the Nickelodeon's superhero comedy series The Thundermans, he played a recurring role of Angus in two episodes.[4] He also appeared in the HBO's documentary series Masterclass and VlogBrothers.[4]
In 2015, Smith played a supporting role, Marcus "Radar" Lincoln, in the comedy-drama Paper Towns, opposite Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne.[4][5] The film was directed by Jake Schreier and released on July 24, 2015 by 20th Century Fox.[6]
In 2016, Smith played the lead role of Ezekiel Figuero in Netflix's musical drama series The Get Down, which premiered on 12 August 2016.[7]
That same year, Smith was announced to appear in the sequel to Jurassic World.[8]
