Junior Club was a former Mexican football team that played in the Primera Fuerza prior to the professionalization and development of the Mexican first division. The club was established in 1906 by father Crivell the club would later go on to change its name to Tigres before folding in.

History

Junior Club was founded in 1906 by the Local church Father Crivelli. In 1908 Pablo Alexanderson who lived in San Pedro de los Pinos a small village in the outskirts of Mexico City bought the club and mainly used it for practice Tennis and Baseball from 1909– 1914. In 1915 Pablo Alexanderson enrolled the club into the Primera Fuerza only organized football league at that time. The club was finally admitted in 1917 into the league under the name Club Junior Mexico. In order to build a competitive club the Pablo Alexanderson signed players from all society and races.

First Tournament

The club played its first tournament in the 1917–1918 campaign. The club finished 4 among 6 other clubs with a record of 4 games won,1 draw, 5 losses scoring 11 and along 11 goals for a total of 9 points in 10 games played. The club finished 7 points behind the champion Pachuca.

In the 1919–1920 tournament the club changed its name Tigres Mexico in order to attract the Spanish community in Mexico City. The club this time finished in third place with a record of 5 wins, 5 draws, 2 losses with 13 goals scored allowing 11 for a total of 15 Points tying in points with Centro Unión 6 behind the champion Club España.

The club played its last tournament in the 1920–1921 campaign. The club finished 2nd overall with a record of 10 victories 2 draws, 1 loss scoring 23 goals and allowing in 12 for a total of 22 points in 16 games . The club obtained its best record and place just 6 points behind the champion Club España who would go on to dominate the league for the next 20 years.

Present day

The club folded after the 1921 tournament but continued playing Tennis and Baseball. There are 2 sports clubs in Mexico today who still practice both sports but it is uncertain if any of them is related to the sport club that was founded in 1906.

In the 1917–18 tournoment the club played under the name of Junior club Mexico.From 11918-1920 the club played under the name of Tigres Mexico.[1]

After the 1906–07 season, Puebla A.C. folded
