Jumby Bay

Jumby Bay is a 300-acre private island off the coast of Antigua.[1][2]

History

The island was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493.[3]

In recent years, notable residents, who belong to the Jumby Bay Club,[2] include David Sainsbury, Baron Sainsbury of Turville, Ken Follett and his wife Barbara Follett, Sir Roland Franklin (Martin E. Franklin's father), and Peter Swann.[1][2] The island is also home to the Rosewood Jumby Bay, a luxury hotel operated by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.[1][3]

The island was featured in a 2013 episode of Private Islands.[4]
