Júlio "Foca" Fernandez (born March 3, 1957 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a sixth degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under the late Grandmaster Carlson Gracie Sr. His nickname, Foca, is Portuguese for "Sea Lion". He is the co-author of the instructional book Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: For Experts Only alongside Carlson Gracie Sr.[1][2]
