Josh Mandel (video game designer)

Josh Mandel (born October 9, 1958) is an American former Sierra Entertainment writer and designer of various computer games such as Space Quest 6 and Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist.[1] He was the first person to voice King Graham, protagonist of the King's Quest series, in King's Quest V and King's Quest VI. In the former he also played a harpy. In the latter, he also played Shamir Shamazel, Oxymoron, Druid, and a Guard Dog.

He has also reprised the role of Graham in the unofficial fan-made remakes King's Quest I, King's Quest II: Romancing the Stones, and King's Quest III Redux by AGD Interactive and King's Quest III by Infamous Adventures.

He created trivia for the King's Questions quiz game.

Mandel was in 2012-2013 employed with Replay Games where he, in cooperation with Sierra veteran Al Lowe, worked as a designer and writer on Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded[2] and Fester Mudd: Curse of the Gold.[1] He quit the company some time after the release of Reloaded.[3][4]

In January 2014, he contributed to the independent adventure game, Serena, wherein he voices the game's protagonist.[4]
