Career

Stevenage

N'Guessan began his career at Stevenage, progressing through the club's Centre of Excellence. A month into the 2012–13 season, he was loaned out to Conference South side Farnborough on a one-month loan agreement.[2] He made one appearance during the loan, coming on as a 67th-minute substitute in Farnborough's 3–0 home defeat to Welling United on 15 September 2012.[3] A month later, N'Guessan spent a month on loan with Southern League Division One Central side Biggleswade Town,[2] where he made one appearance, starting in Biggleswade's 3–2 away defeat to Aylesbury on 23 October 2012.[4] In January 2013, he joined Banbury United of the Southern League Premier Division on a one-month loan deal, to gain first-team experience.[5] He made a goalscoring debut in Banbury's 2–0 away victory over Chippenham Town on 26 January, a win that secured their first victory in eleven matches.[6] He made one further appearance during the loan spell, before returning to Stevenage.[7][8]

He was loaned out in March 2013, this time joining Conference North team Corby Town on another one-month deal.[9] He made his debut for Corby in a 1–0 victory over Stalybridge Celtic on 9 March,[10] and went on to make five appearances during this loan spell.[11] N'Guessan returned to his parent club towards the end of the season, and made his first-team debut for Stevenage as a 57th-minute substitute in a 2–0 defeat to Milton Keynes Dons at Broadhall Way on 27 April 2013.[12] Shortly after the end of the season, in June 2013, N'Guessan signed a one-year contract with the club, his first professional deal.[13]

In 2013–14 N'Guessan had a loan spell with Arlesey Town of the Southern League Premier Division, then managed by ex-QPR Favourite Rufus Brevett. Joseph scored eight goals in appearances. N'Guessan, who was awarded the No 28 Shirt for Stevenage, also scored his first senior goal for the club during the 2013–14 season, at home to Walsall.

In 2014–15 N'Guessan was loaned to Aldershot Town (scoring two goals in five starts) in the Football Conference, and then St Albans City (one goal in three starts) of the Conference South. He also made three appearances from the bench for Stevenage between these loan spells.

On 20 May 2015 N'Guessan was released by Stevenage, prior to Teddy Sheringham's arrival along with twelve other players.

Queens Park Rangers

On 15 June 2015 N'Guessan joined the Queens Park Rangers Elite Development Squad, arriving as a free agent following his release from Stevenage.[14]
