Joseph Castagné

Joseph-Antoine Castagné was a French ethnographer and expert on Central Asia. He was born in Gaillac, Tarn on 27 November 1875 and died in Montpellier on 19 January 1958. He was a professor at the gymnase d'Orenbourg in Orenburg, Russia.[1] He wrote extensively about Russian Turkestan.[2]
